Authorities report Stark Tower was attacked in the crossfire between a gang related confrontation. Until further notice, police have the immediate area off limits for a more thorough investigation. There were no casualties.

Not long after, an explosion has been reported at what should have been an abandoned warehouse by Huntington Beach docks. Police suspect a connection, but concrete evidence has yet to be revealed.

Two bodies were found this evening in Anaheim. Police had no statement but an inside source described the deceased as being completely drained of blood.

Authorities are reporting a gas explosion early this morning. A pawn shop and the residence above it are completely destroyed and neighboring buildings have received some damage.

In breaking news this morning, a massive pile of clothing was discovered beneath the Santa Ana Freeway. Authorities are still sifting through the garments, which include socks of every color and an alarming amount of red underwear.

Military reports several convoys in the Southwest United States have been attacked. They are still investigating and have not disclosed if anything was taken. There have been reports of injuries.

There have been reports of an explosion or mine collapse at the Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks. Further reports as the situation develops.

A search is underway for two hikers missing since early yesterday afternoon. Searchers are combing a large area of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks.

In unrelated news, a new disease appears to be ravaging wildlife.

Late last night an Earthquake rocked the Hawaiian–Emperor Seamount Chain. Though the event was hundreds of miles away we could feel it here in Orange County. Fortunately for our lungs, the Volcano has sunk back beneath the ocean and the skies are slowly starting to clear.

Tsunami warnings were issued but have since been canceled.

Conditions have been declared extremely hazardous and life threatening. Prolonged exposure to volcanic ash can have long term effects on health. There's a noise off camera and she jolts to her feet. "What the hell is that thing?!" The signal abruptly cuts off.

The FCC has grounded all flights west of Denver.

Reports today of a new volcano eruption in Hawaii. An air quality advisory has been issued for the western United States. Some of the pictures are spectacular, and scientists believe that a new island is in the process of being formed.

Local news reported a pair of bright shooting stars early Sunday morning. The first star blazed from south to north with some eyewitnesses claiming that it was moving up. It was accompanied by a sonic boom that broke some windows. The second star appeared a few moments later, moving from west to east. The shock wave damaged some buildings and eyewitnesses saw the meteorite descend into the foothills.

Our weathermen are predicting that it will be snowing throughout the day and through much of the night, so stay safe and bundled, and wrap up those exposed pipes. Emergency Services are recommending that you stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. The freeways are a mess right now.

"The country is still reeling after a devastating nuclear attack on Las Vegas this afternoon. Authorities are still trying to get answers, but we have several survivors who described a large fireball over the city. During the evening's news report, there's a blurb about a major fire in a neighborhood friends and family would recognize as Logan's. It states the fight is still ongoing but it looked like arson.

The 19-year-old Olympic Gymnast as injured while performing her vault routine at the American Cup at the DCU Center in Worcester this afternoon. There has been no word on the exact injury Cain suffered, but sources say she is currently resting at Massachusetts General Hospital. Cain had already completed her routines on the beam and uneven bars when the injury occurred.

The following story has made at least one appearance on just about every news program and outlet...

All eyes are on ink manufacturer Shirink and its CEO, Frodo Baggins, following reports that a disgruntled former employee's plans for revenge went awry, ultimately claiming the life of company secretary, Cheryl Taunt. Mr. Baggins is believed to have been the intended target. The suspect, pictured here, goes by the name Smeagol and was not apprehended at the scene. Mr. Baggins had no official statement, but did comment to police that the suspect is violent and should be considered extremely dangerous.

Any knowledge of his whereabouts should be reported immediately.

Seriously, this is news? Is it a slow news day? A second green skull was spotted in the skies last night, similar to the one reported by numerous witnesses on Valentine's Day. A spokesperson for the police stated that it was most likely some sort of fireworks show. She was quoted as saying "Someone is looking for attention, that's all."

Authorities continue to investigate the reasons behind the crash of a Tokyo bound airliner early Sunday morning.

A large number of witnesses reported seeing a glowing green skull in the sky this evening, yet another in a growing number of paranormal sightings over the last month.

In other news, Cygnus Black, head of the powerful Black Ministries was found dead in his office last night. We're still waiting on the coroner's report but preliminary findings indicate a heart attack or other mysterious causes.

The Federal Government has declared a State of Emergency for Orange County, freeing up resources and money to flow into the quarantined county to stimulate the economy and help with the sick. Food and other supplies are being distributed by the National Guard.
