As you may or may not be aware, as of last night, I have been issued a challenge to a duel. As a gentleman of honor, I am obliged to accept this, or to be named a coward amongst you, my friends, the general public, and everyone else involved. However, as the challenged party, there are some things which are my right, according to the Code Duello of 1777.

A Personal Note:

First, readers, an apology.

The tone of things here has been scattered lately. I owe so many posts on so many topics that I have been striving to keep up with, and I appreciate your patience, your support, and your suggestions and those donations you've sent to the linked organizations that help to keep them functioning, especially through this transition. Things are changing here, on this blog, and in my life, and I may not be with you very longer, but in the end, rest assured all is as it needs to be, now that conviction and a direction are finally both mine.

The three of us need to talk without the others soon. There are things I need to talk about and process, and last night's little adventure has that point kind of clarified in my mind. The three of us are the best ones to do it. The earlier dreams showed me how close we were, and I have things I need to talk about, but just to you two, no point in freaking out the others yet.

I would give my life for all of you, for the republic, and like Hale said, I regret having one life to give for for the people, for a greater France, but all the same, I need to get some things off of my chest, in person. Would that be at all possible?

I saw on the network Stark's doing a fund and Enjolras wants to help them out with donations. I sent one in, but there's a lot more we can be doing. When can we do coffee and talk about this?

Dear Readers-

I have appreciated the comments I have been receiving, and the debates that the newcomers who found me have engaged in, along with the new topics you have lead me to consider, and I think you for that. I do not apologize for or disclaim any of the beliefs I have put forth in the post of two days ago, and believe that they hold valid, even in our changing world.

What I do apologize for is letting these things get out of hand and the namecalling and baiting I engaged in as a result of some of the statements. The attitude that I displayed while replying to some of you, two comenters in particular with whom I was dismissive and rude, the result of which is my position was compromised, and much hope of these people understanding it.

I've been rude, sarcastic and abrasive and I've hurt the cause for which I stand in the process, and I am sorry for those things, and the way I made my piece clear.

I understand that many of you have your reasons for disagreement and that it IS up to myself and the others like me to have our beliefs heard and work to make these changes which we are striving towards. Understand that work is being done in this direction and my posts here, attempting to draw up support for these ideas, are one of the things I do. Therefore, I appreciate your arguments and counterpoints as I test the waters,so to speak, and I'd welcome further commentary and discussion in the future as you see fit to offer it.

I retract the name calling and the well poisoning , association fallacies and judgmental language of two days ago, and look forward to future debates and discussion here.

Does anyone else in Orange County NOT trust the FEMA assclowns they're sending here? I'm not trying to be negative, I'm speaking from experience of them and evidence from the past several years that tells us that they aren't equipped to do much more than getting in the fucking way, causing chaos, and, when things get really bad, assuming control of our very lives, forcing us into their bidding by the matter of necessity to survive.

I will not be made a slave of, should I survive this thing, I will not run to the government's bidding if their agents unfairly seize control, the way they lie in wait to do. I have not consented to be ruled by these agents no matter who they be, or how benign they plan their hopefully brief leadership to be.

The government presents themselves as helping us, yet once they have come in, they will exert their will, by dint of denying those of us who don't cooperate, or threats, or actual other force, and as we have not consented to be ruled, or to allow them here, the government has seized control where it has no right to do so. We have not made a contract with whatever FEMA sends, or with FEMA itself.

As we have not been asked, nor given our consent, this imposition can only be considered as an imposition and as morally and socially unjust. We've not granted agreement, we have not been allowed to discuss, or make the choice, and we've been taken advantage of and will be made the worse for it in the end.

We are a people in our own right, here in Orange County and we should be treated as a people, not a place for the government to slip in, seize control, and turn us all toward their way of thinking, their way of forced leadership, and their control we do not need.

We're being violated and I only fear what's next to come if we allow this with no protest and no questioning, without a bang, nor whimper, but instead dead silence. Will those with any conscience not stand up to fight, when we need you the most?
