((Assume he outed himself last week. I just didn't get to write it, but "Demosthenes is a UCLA student by the name of etc, etc" happened. Anyway.))
Dear readers,
It has been a sad weekend here as I lost a dear dear friend and companion, small as he was. Truly, the size and species of a friend makes no difference in the amount of love that he can give you, or that you can return to him. My Danton was killed, untimely, in an unfortunate accident. D'artagan and his kitten were here, and well. One can imagine. No, D'artagnan, I am not actually pissed at either of you. I am sad and disappointed, but I know it WAS an accident.
One thing that HAS been on my mind though is the way that Danton enriched my life, and well, the things that I have learned from him. I think that they can serve me well as I move through life, keeping a few things in mind.
( Lessons from my Chinchilla ) Danton, you may not have been with me long, but I have learned from, and have loved you, and the things you taught are things that even humans can and should take to their hearts. Farewell my friend, my brother. I shall miss you but am glad that you've found peace. A good life, one full of meaning is to be celebrated and cherished, and I will remember what I've learned from you and carry it forth into my life.
In other, hopefully less depressing new, have any of my readers heard from frost-bitten rose, who collaborated with me on the amazing events written about here (link). It has been some time since I have heard from her or seen a post and I am beginning to grow concerned.
