She would love to motivate people to work together, using their strengths to the best of their abilities. They could make their meals together! They could entertain each other. But, right now, there is one thing she wants more than any of that.]

I hope you all slept well. We have a lot to accomplish today, so we need to get started! Please look around and see if there is anything you can use as a weapon and then please use it to kill any Japanese people you find! And if you are Japanese it would be very helpful if you could just kill yourself!

Once they are all dead, dead, dead maybe we could play a word game!

It's unfixed and with powers off it'll be staying that way for the next two days which means she's going to be trying to kill all the Japanese inmates. I am totally open to having her hurt people and having her get hurt or locked up or encouraged or anything ever. Just no killing my girl. Aaaand go!)

Hey ya'll. I know it's kinda outta place t'say Welcome to Marina cause no one really wants t'be here, but it ain't all bad. In any case, I've got a bar an grill here in Sector 4 called Merlotte's, figure th' new arrivals may want to come on down and have a drink or two after a trip like that.

Anyone's welcome of course, we're open from mornin' to night. Come on in an' have a bite to eat or somethin' to ease your troubles.

There is a full menu of down-home diner/grill sort of foods, so hamburgers, french fries, salads, soups, breakfast items or whatever other comfort food you can think of and a few other things from other worlds. There is a full bar, wine, liquor, beer and even blood or synthetic blood. He also has a pool table and there's plenty of room in booths or tables to play cards or whatever else.))

[Zelgadis didn't need to wait for dark, or to try calling, or to ask those bastards at the kiosk to know she was gone. The moment Saber vanished he just felt it, the connection he'd only barely noticed all these months dissolving as quick and bitter as salt in water. Removing his glove to find the command seals gone felt stupid really, the sort of sentimental formality someone like him shouldn't bother with, but of course he did it anyway.]

[Now he's sitting under a tree in the park, a full pack flopped carelessly beside him, his hood down for once to showcase his stone skin -- maybe waiting for the snide comment of a passerby to spark him into a fight, who knows. It had taken him longer to pack his belongings than he'd assumed; that'll teach him to accumulate junk. In the end he taken the essentials and left the rest as it lay, Saber's things untouched as if for a museum.]

[So that's that. Done, over. It was always just a matter of time.]

[That was the easy conclusion. Harder is what to do with himself now, without the search for a cure and without anything to fight against and without anyone he ever bothered to care about.]

I have to teach a class for a punishment, so in fifteen minutes I'm teaching a class on principles of beginner's magic. You won't learn how to blow anything up or how to fly or anything like that. It will probably be fairly dull. [He begrudgingly provides the room information. If it wasn't obvious enough by the words, his curt tone makes pretty clear that if no one showed up he would be ecstatic.]

(And yes, according to the way magic works in Slayers they very well could, since no inherent magical ability is required for minor spells.) I have tried to be detailed in the IC lecture about how difficult/powerful these spells should be and what limits there might be, but questions are always welcome if you need further information.

I'm leaving some of this up to players' discretion -- but please note that according to the way this works in Slayers canon your character cannot take the info on minor spells Zelgadis gives them here and then "figure out" how to throw fireballs around -- or do anything else except marginally strengthen the specific spells he taught. They need the SPECIFIC spell words to cast anything else and Zel ain't giving them out.

Also, if you want to handwave your character's attendance even though they didn't tag in, please contact me to let me know or toss up a "handwaving" tag on here or something? Zel would ICly keep track of who he taught things to and keep a tiny eye on them.))

[ although the morning's rain prevented them from getting an early start on setting up, quinn and rebekah have managed to pull everything off in time for the dance to start. there's tables to sit at when you don't feel like dancing or enjoying the surf, lots of hawaiian-themed snacks and desserts to eat, grass skirts and leis available for those who wish to wear them, lanterns and torches everywhere, with live music provided by quinn, oz, jack, lacus, and anyone else who wishes to get up and sing!

the only thing this party's lacking is the booze, per quinn's intentions of having this be an alcohol-free party. however, that doesn't mean someone isn't going to spike the punch when she's not looking, so if you were planning on doing so -- have at it!

so, go ahead and dance it up with your dates, mingle with some new cr, hop around, and threadjack to your heart's content. festivities will carry on until sometime after midnight when clean up will commence. enjoy! ]

Of course that's just reality, and there can't be many out there who can see reality for what it is at the moment. If no one was afflicted with seeing mirages then this would just be Kitty addressing people in her X-Men uniform with a backdrop of one of the many neatly maintained alleyways between buildings in Sector 2 while tightly clutching a stick in her hand.

For Kitty, she is in what remains of Sector 2 as she tries to lay low between a pile of rubble that was once a building and the burning, gutted remains of another. She believes the stick in her hand is actually a high tech blaster she got off of one her attackers. They seemed alien in origin to her, but "alien" is kind of a moot point in an inter-dimensional prison. Still, they weren't wearing jumpsuits and they had personal flying devices and were loaded down with weapons.

For you, the viewer, you might see zombies creeping up on her or maybe everything is black and white and she's dressed like a newscaster. She could look like someone giving ransom demands or have a face covered in tentacles. Or maybe whatever it is you think you see becomes a tootsie roll to you. It could also be you're sharing this very particular mirage and you see it just as she does. Whatever the case, beauty and everything else is in the eye of the beholder today.]

Sector 6 team, we're staying in the other sectors and lending support. Dispatch, we need you watching the network and working out where the worst of it is. [This was the first morning Kitty woke up next to her boyfriend in their home instead of his or hers. Perfect day to go run errands and kiss lots and lots of people, right?

[There was a bit of a mail delay with PM's disappearance, but everyone on the team should have gotten a letter this morning. By noon the roof of the new Defense Force headquarters is ready for guests. It isn't exactly decked out, but there is a long table with finger-foods: small sandwiches, fruits, and hors d'oevres as well as sweets like cupcakes and truffles. An arrangement of sodas and bottled waters sits on one end next to an enclosed punch dispenser. Sorry, no spiking the punch, kids. There are also small standing tables around the edges. The only real seating comes in the form of benches along the sides. The point is to get to know the rest of the team, not to sit and eat, so this suits Kitty just fine. They can thank Lacus for the fact that there is food at all and that things have been arranged in such a way to promote circulation.

She waits until it seems like most everyone has drifted in and calls for their attention while perching herself up on the wall itself. No fear of heights here.]

[When the video kicks into gear you, the viewer, might find your eyes assaulted by a man with violently blue hair wearing a violently orange jumpsuit. You'd think these two complementary colors would work well together, but it's blinding...

...funny thing though, the man who should be offended most by these colors doesn't seem at all bothered by the fact that he's trussed up like a giant tangerine terror.]

So does this mean I’m somewhere between hell and the Throne of Heroes? I thought that’s what happened when they took you out of the Cycle of Transmigration…you die in the war and they put you back in your little hero box until next time.

The bots have been busy cleaning up the dome and setting up decorations for this momentous occasion, and by now there isn't a nook or cranny left un-pimped! Bright blue MarinaNova flags wave happily in the artificial breeze together with the colorful ribbons that have been wrapped around poles. The streets are illuminated by strings of lights and paper lanterns and each sector gate has been lovingly decorated with fragrant flower garlands.

Of course, that is far from all! There wouldn't be much of a festival without entertainment and your loving wardens have made absolutely sure that there's something for everyone!

[ Hello, MarinaNova. Ferris is sitting here, in the bedroom of his apartment in sector 2. The walls are plastered rather solidly with an eclectic mix of posters, photos, and other varied clippings and images he's managed to dig up around the place. At the start of his transmission, he reaches over and pauses his music - The Cars, if you're paying attention and would recognize it. He leans back and engages in a casual, conversational tone. ]

So, let's see, it's... a few weeks, now, that I've been here. I wouldn't exactly say I've resigned myself to my fate or anything like that, but I did start figuring, not particularly long into my stay, that I might as well make the most of it. After all, I'm still here regardless of whether I dwell on it or not. Why miss out on the positive aspects in favor of making myself miserable? I've never been a fan of dwelling, anyway. Waste of time.

In that spirit, I've been exploring, perusing the local diversions - everything you'd expect a guy to do, you know? And you can take my word for it when I say I'm not the sort to leave any stone unturned. I mean - not literally, because I haven't yet found any choice entertainment under stones. If there is any, I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the direction of the right stones.

Now, naturally, I'll continue ever onward in my independent endeavour for diversion, but I figured I may as well pose the question to my fellow inmates; How do you entertain yourself here?

Don't misunderstand; I'm certainly not bored - who would ever allow oneself to meet such a fate, I ask you? [ Restless, sure. But defiantly not bored. ] But I have long ago come to believe that any man who fails to keep an open mind and reach out to others is a man who is only cheating himself. Everyone's got a different idea of fun, after all, and it never hurts to try something new. Well... rarely.

[Out and about today, Raven can be found drifting from shop fronts like the bakery and coffee shop to the park, slow strides without a lot of direction as she takes a long walk through the sights. She's been here how long now? And she's still curiously discovering things, venturing farther from home every time.

We've got ourselves some new digs. Still in sector two and not too far from the educational center, but free standing. It's one of those many empty building set up around the place. It looks like it was designed to be something retail, but I figure we can make it work. I've already found some dividers. Talk to me if you have experience building actual walls or magic wall-generating abilities.

Team leaders, I've got an idea of where I think things need to go, but I want your input.

Rebecca, you're in charge of getting dispatch relocated.

Zatanna, I want you to put in some security measures like we talked about before.

We've also been losing people to the dimensional stabilizer, so Derek is temporarily also a sector team leader. [Sorry, Peter.] He's already got a position though, so if there is anyone else looking to step up, let me know. Also, Faith will be taking over her sector. Teams are a little unbalanced right now, but instead of moving people to new assignments, let's just make it a thing that the largest teams check in with the smallest ones to help cover the sectors. When we get new people or returning people back they'll fill up again.
