Today is Day 293.

As you may have noticed there was something of a minor glitch with the environmental systems yesterday. Impressively, you all managed to survive despite your best efforts not to go to the designated safe zones as instructed. Unfortunately, some of the food supply from Sector 6 was caught up in the storm as well, and did not fare so well.

Phase one of clean up is currently underway. Bots have already cleared the misplaced organic material. They will move on to ensuring all structures are sound. Enter at your own risk. However, you will not be permitted in the library, The Tier apartments, or the movie theater for the remainder of the day. If you are unwisely already in any of these locations, exit immediately and with utmost caution. Anyone caught on any of these premises will be removed and assigned a punishment.

If you live in The Tier we will take care to protect your belongings, but do not attempt to get them. Simply find an empty space in one of the other apartments or stay at a friend's apartment if you've managed to make friends. Get anything you need for the day at one of the various stores. If you abandoned your pet to save yourself yesterday a bot will be returning it to your person shortly.

Take care where you step today. There are still some low-lying areas filled with water and the ground is very moist. Repair and clean-up efforts will take a few days. We also have some new arrivals. I would apologize that the place isn't as presentable and functional as usual, but then we're still practically a resort prison, and you are criminals. Welcome.

[ today deanna can mostly be found in her office, but there's also the time she heads for the ice cream parlor to grab a to-go cup of chocolate sundae and everything chocolate to take back while she thinks. she'll look distracted if anyone runs into her, but for normal therapy sessions, she acts completely normal. she can focus on what she needs to, even while distracted. for the most part. ]

[ Yesterday was weird. Super-duper-weird and between wrestling Euphie off the Japanese population and trying to find some kind of authority figure that hadn't lost their marbles completely, Aidan didn't have time to reflect over his own dizzy and crowded memory. It's a matter of years this time, not months, but even so he feels almost eerily calm when he wakes up. Like everything has just gone so far past rock bottom that he found his way back up again and although it should feel foreign, the steady routines of weeks upon months of doing this exact thing fits like a well-worn sweater.

He gets up early. Showers for a long while, if only to marvel at the luxury of hot, running water straight from the tap. Dresses himself best he can and makes a mental note to get clothes his size — Aidan at 24 is a little bulkier still than Aidan at 21. Ties his hair back, puts on coffee, starts on breakfast. 45 minutes later there's a warm, savory smell emanating from the kitchen. Bacon, eggs, strawberry jam from scratch because he can't bring himself to do it any other way, bread rolls baking off in the oven, coffee just about ready.

Pouring himself a cup, he leans against the counter with a contemplative sigh, waiting for the rest of the household to wake up. ]

As I'm sure some of you have found out by now, our leader has been affected by whatever malfunction we have in the system. Please be careful approaching her at this time — she's dangerous and doesn't trust outsiders easily. The best solution at this time would be to stay clear of her until this blows over.

The specified location for today's exercise, detailed in communiques to the Defense Force at large, wasn't far into Sector 6. It's unfortunate that they must meet here, but it had been the obvious choice for its open spaces, organic terrain, and relative seclusion. Data is there early, ensuring that a perimeter is well established and all safety precautions are in place. There is also, of course, a detailed emergency response plan on standby in his memory banks - an absolutely necessary precursor to his agreeing to hold the exercise here.

When he is satisfied with the course, he waits and makes himself available to any arriving members who may wish to approach him prior to the beginning of the exercise. Once everyone is present, a precisely calculated few minutes after the scheduled meeting time to allow for any stragglers, Data will step forward and address the attendees.

As you have likely been made to understand, the purpose of our assembly here is to encourage a higher level and increased efficiency of cooperation, communication, and coordination among the individuals comprising the Defense Force. There has been a lot said of us and our choices lately. [By Spike, Rose, and Tyki.] I want us to be a force against the wardens, not each other. We spent a lot of time and energy on Spike in hopes it would save and protect lives. So far, I believe it will.

Unfortunately, it looks like we may need to do it again.

[She's known for a long time an announcement like this might be necessary, but she hasn't wanted to make it. She hoped with the other noah gone and even the exorcists that maybe he would just relax. Fish. Something. But that isn't how things have panned out.

She's close to this one. Closer than she was when it was about Spike. She has a history with Tyki—physically and emotionally. It wasn't long ago he was holding her as she cried over Reid's disappearance and then she was making him bleed and now...]

You should all know Tyki Mikk from the watch list. He's brutally attacked people from his world who were staying here in the past and recently he tried to block our efforts with Spike. You might have heard his "apology" about that. I did strike first and I hoped the injuries I got would be the last, but last night he attacked Spencer Reid, breaking his fingers.

Tyki can make himself intangible and tangible at will and at the same time. He can block your attack while making his own. [Something her power doesn't allow.] He also has access to dark matter, something we don't know a lot about. It can be a poison. He can also manipulate it's form, making his arm like a blade. His body has a lot of stamina and regenerative abilities. He also has and breeds tease which are flesh-eating butterflies. One at a time they're nothing, but in a group or inside you they are a problem.

We need options. Options to contain, reform, and kill. He's dangerous and powerful, but he can't be unstoppable. We need to be ready. I want the investigative team researching and everyone else stepping up your training individually, but most especially in teams.

[She's wearing a pink pearl and has been for some time, but even with the pearl working as hard as it can, it's not finding a lot of happiness to draw out these days. And right now she just wants to get to Reid and make sure he's okay.]

I think we should play a game, so I thought of one that might work over the network. It's called Would you Rather.

I'll give you two scenarios and you'll have to choose which one you'd rather do. You won't actually have to do them of course! Then you'll give me scenarios and I'll choose. Let me know if it doesn't make sense. Maybe once it gets going it will be clearer.

Yesterday's crowd left me with a hangover. It is worse than normal hangovers and I might implode.

If that happens, someone make sure I get a nice funeral. And make sure the wardens are not invited because they're assholes. And please make sure someone kills them. I said please so that means you have to do it. I could try to come back to haunt them but I can't guarantee that I won't be busy terrorizing everyone else too.

And one last thing. [He holds up a finger.] A dog has the life. You people fall very easily for anything cute and small. Never trust a dog just because it's cute and small. It could be waiting to shit in your shoes.

Scenario 1
[Yakko is out running around the dome. He doesn't seem like he is running scared or anything. More just running to have fun. He seems remarkably at ease for someone who just woke up to find themselves in a reverse fish tank.

When he crosses someone's path, he stops and approaches]

Say, you wouldn't have seen two youngsters running around, have you? One is wearing a blue shirt and red hat and the other a pink skirt.

Scenario 2
[Yakko has found himself a nice spot in the middle of the dome, near the kiosk in Sector 0. Seemingly oblivious to being trapped and the fact that he was wearing an orange jumpsuit (really, odd things were normal for him), he stands there.

But it may also be the prize style wheel behind him. There are some numbers on it and "prizes" like "lose a turn" and "trip to tahiti". At the top in large, friendly letters, it reads "WHEEL OF MORALITY". And he stands at the ready to accost anyone who comes by.

And when someone does...]

It's that time again!

[ One long haired vampire princess appears on screen, dark sorrel gaze trained on the screen, fangs clear as she stands in the middle of one of the parks. It's obvious she's furious, and she's marching across the dome toward the kiosk, electricity cracking all around her as she moves. ]

[ Chuck never had all that many chances of throwing parties back home but she always wanted to play hostess and her time working at the Pie Hole only cemented that urge. So why not throw a housewarming brunch now that she's properly moved in with her prison boyfriend in their new apartment? The walls have been painted in bright and sometimes eyewatering colors, furniture has been hauled in, cabinets stocked with cutlery and cookware and plates and whatever else a house needs to be considered warmed in and the jungle of plants on the balcony has already started to spill into the rest of the apartment. Now that she's stopped being a cat, they couldn't be more ready for guests.

The invitations have been sent out to the entire population and if that's not enough, the door is kept open (with a puppy gate in place, Gadget is in a curious age) to let the delicious smells of food cooking out into the corridor. Inside there's a spread waiting of typical brunch-type foods: bacon, pancakes, an assortment of fruits, freshly baked monkey bread and muffins, quiche and of course a small selection of cup pies because how can there not be. There's also juice, coffee and tea, for man cannot live on solids alone.
