DAY 281 Animal Trouble Event Mingle.
[ It is a beautiful day, not too hot nor too cold . There is just that one little detail that perhaps gives it a sour note. Some of you have woken up with new and improved bodies all together, others might have the addition of a tail or perhaps paws for hands or feet.

You might be spending the day raiding the dog food aisle, contemplating if it is okay to lick yourself or just simply how in the heck your are suppose to even open a door with paws. Either way this will be a interesting day, ]

[ One of the first people up and about today actually....is still human. Haruka has no idea anything's amiss about today, save that she woke up earlier than usual with a funny feeling tingling her senshi senses the back of her mind. That's about as much intuition as she ever gets, here. It's a pain.

It could also be nothing. So rather than just sit around worrying about it, she's laced up her sneakers and gone for a morning jog.

There's a pair of tall legs and opposable thumbs running past, should anyone require assistance. ]

[Waking up in his bed was the only normal thing that day. He felt different, and the communicator was uncomfortable and it looked like it was close to falling. it didn't take him long at all to realize that he was a horse.

And the first thing he did was getting out of the room, trying to find some answers while being careful to not drop the communicator. If he lost that, he wouldn't be able to talk to anybody...]

[ It would've been neat to turn into a horse. Aidan would probably have loved that actually but someone out there doesn't like him and so he turned into... something gross. He's not sure what yet, but it sure is gross, his skin all sickly pink and producing more slime than he knows what to do with.

Staying indoors is a no-go so instead he wanders aimlessly, eventually coming across an unfamiliar horse. No good if it escaped and since there's no one around... ]

[Let's be honest: there are some things you just...don't really expect out of everyday life. Like, ever. Not that Umi would call this weird place everyday life, of course -- the idea of that is just too depressing.

But she certainly wasn't expecting, when she went to sleep the night before, to wake up submerged in the pool wearing her nightgown and all. At first she's disoriented and, well, panicking (like she does), but that actually dies down a bit once she realizes she...can breathe underwater. Okay, well. That's new and different. Still, she surfaces, because what the actual WHAT.

That's when she notices the teal-blue fins at her elbows and calves, and scales that have climbed up her arms, across her back and toward her neck. Webbed fingers. Webbed toes. And that's when she really freaks out.]

AaaaAAAAAAH?!! WHAT IN THE WORLD--!

[She hasn't even noticed the dorsal fin on her back yet...which is probably for the best. A girl can only handle so much at once, after all.]

[OOC: betta fish characteristics! whee! She'll be at the pool in the morning, but for the rest of the day, she'll be all over the place (exploring the sectors, doing investigatey things, whatever). SO please feel free to run into her anywhere!]

[ Why she thought it was a good idea to head off to the pool is anyone's guess. Maybe she thought it'd stop her boyfriend from trying to put clothes on her. Maybe she thought this was the last place he'd look. Maybe she just wanted to see if that whole thing about cats and water was true.

Either way, she's down by the pool. Just minding her own business. Smelling something... delicious. Oh wow that really does smell good. Perking up significantly Chuck decides to do what comes natural, following the wonderful scent to whatever wet end it may lead to.]

[Nico falls out of bed. He doesn't really remember falling asleep. It must have been sometime very early in the morning. The book he had been reading is on the floor there. His communicator is lying next to it. He's having trouble getting up, getting his hands to work. His body is more interested in rolling around awkwardly than standing.

And that's how he discovers he's been turned into a dog. And not some awesome beast like Mrs. O'Leary or Cerberus the three-headed hellhound who guards the underworld. No. He's small and has floppy ears and big feet. At least his fur is all black. The communicator is a lost cause. He can't figure out how to get it on without hands.

He thinks about just weathering this out in bed for the rest of the day, because, puppy. But that would get boring fast. And he curious to see what's happened to the rest of the dome. It only occurs to him once he's managed to get out of the apartment that anything he says comes out at barks and growls and whimpers.]

[For what seemed like the first time in a long time, Wally had managed to avoid the hijinks going on throughout the dome and he couldn't be more thankful for it. Last thing he needed after the mission last night was to wake up part fish, horse, cat, or whatever else he's seen so far. Of course he hasn't quite figured out that some people have transformed completely into animals yet, so he doesn't think much of it when he stumbles across the cutest little puppy on his way to get something to eat.

He just can't resist bending down and petting the dog on the head.]

Aw, aren't you a cute, little pooch.

[ Facilier was out and about, because what good is an experiment unless you check the results and said results had been very interesting so far.

The tall man had made sure to get a little dose of the formula as well, as a safety measure. Some people in the dome does know that he makes potions and what-not, so today and only for today Facilier is sporting proper beaver teeth. ]

[Carol is 100% human today. She found herself a nice little one-bedroom apartment in Sector 4 the day before, and it is from here that she sets off bright and early to do a little more exploring and pick up some essentials. She's about halfway to her first destination when she gets the uncomfortable feeling that something might be wrong.]

[Sam is about 96% human with 4% left over for wolf traits like fangs, claws and a tail. It's hard to navigate pants with a tail. It's also hard to navigate opening things with claws unless ripping them up can be part of the plan. At the moment he's getting frustrated as he tries to get some supplies and keeps damaging them. There might be a grow. Okay, there was definitely a growl.]

[ Morning!

At first, he woke up in confusion and no little bit of panic. Smells and sounds were more acute but eyesight seemed normal, if somewhat limited; apparently even as an elephant, he would be nearsighted. Having resolved his trouble with getting out of his room, elephant Murata is wavering between exasperation, concern, and delight. He's been lots of different people in his past lives, but never an animal. He can't say it's not wonderful exploring the prison with such a different point of view.

[ Pay no mind to the displeased sheepdog making his way through the dome today. If you've never seen a dog skulk along in sullen moodiness before, you are certainly in for a treat now, because here he is, trotting along with his ears turned slightly backward and his head held evenly forward, level with his spine. It's taken quite a bit to get used to the difference in his senses, the different coordination of this form, but by the time he's wandering about, he's managing it well enough.

He's not sure if this is stranger than seeing Rudy transform into Deb or not. It does get points in the 'stranger' category just for happening to him.

He's carrying the communicator in his mouth, managing for the most part not to dig his sharp teeth into it. Not that he feels much like talking, but at least he can say enough to stop anyone who's of a mind to pet him. ]

[ You know how some days you just don't want to get out of bed? It's so warm and soft, like an ocean of pillows and blankets and clean, nice-smelling sheets. Like you could disappear into it completely, even though it's just a bed made for two grown humans and it shouldn't feel incredibly vast at all. Chuck stretches, a jaw-creaking yawn taking her over for a moment and soon enough it melts into a more than pleased purr.

[ So, she's a cat. Not great, but she can roll with the punches and it's no more shocking than waking up in your own coffin. Okay, that's a lie. It's a hell of a lot more shocking but that's not going to stop her from going outside and explore the world from a significantly more grounded perspective. Besides, she's hungry and the wanderlust is strong in this feline and oh wow those are some good smells. So very good smells.

She can be found in most sectors of the dome throughout the day, wherever her little kitty legs can carry her. ]

[ It's not the first time Aidan's woken up with fabric glued to himself. It's just always been underwear and never ever in a million years this excessive — for an absolutely heart-stopping terrifying moment he wonders if his junk just exploded overnight but quickly realizes that it's oozing from all of him, which is in no way better. Bringing some of the bedsheets with him to try and contain the ick, he slips off to the bathroom for a quick shower.

Only, of course, the slime reacts violently with water. Sorry about the drain, roomies. Also sorry about the wail of disgust and despair so early in the morning. ]

[ Being indoors when you're this gross just won't do and boy is he ever gross. He's not sure what he's supposed to be, even after putting two and two together about the extra animals running around. Is there sentient snot? And if so, why did he have to become it?

He'll spend large parts of the day aimlessly wandering the dome, keeping his distance from people and objects alike so he doesn't slime on them too badly, sickly pink skin and, unfortunately, trailing strands of mucus glistening in the sunlight. Embarrassed and traumatized but fully approachable, if only because he has nowhere to escape to.]

[ Even freaky deer antlered people need things like coffee and fresh air and getting to work, especially after such a busy night at the Defence Force. Whatever strain the recent events may have put on him (and believe me, they were plenty even though he was far away from the action) it's difficult to concentrate on all that when you're busy trying not to break your own neck, get stuck in doorways or plain fall over.

At least it's just the antlers. The communicator still fits and with all this time in Marina under his belt, Reid can't even say that this is the weirdest that has ever happened. ]

[ Being the one that made this whole mess seems to have it´s merits or maybe Facilier might just be very fortunate in his chemical makeup because the only sign of any change on the tall dark man is that he is now walking around with huge beaver front teeth.

[Good days rarely start with tearing up your bedsheets and then realizing your mouth is still the same odd shape it was in your dream. Asami, once she's done privately freaking out, is pretty sure this is not going to be an exception.

She finds herself with bear paws and a bear's mouth, but most of the rest her features are unchanged. Disconcerting as it is, she decides to start on her way to work anyway, if only to try to figure out how universal this latest whatever-this-is is ]

[This was horrible. It was one thing to have someone steal your powers and put them in a monkey. It was quite another to actually be a monkey.

Piper was sitting in one of the parks, resisting the overwhelming urge to climb that tree there, and was trying to see if anyone else was having the same weird animal thing. She had her communicator, but it was hard to wear. So she was carrying it.]
