DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

Having awoken in this place, wearing the atrocious orange jumpsuit, not even a mark on her skin, Angelina thought she had been taken to a place where she would live out all her sins. But when nothing happened to her... Well, she started looking around. So unseemly to be wearing what was not even fit for dock workers...

So she wandered, looking for a clothing boutique. And perhaps a milliner.]

I wonder if anyone could direct me to a well-to-do tailor? I find myself in need of a new wardrobe.

[ The Wardens would mess with everybody on the day of Haruka's driving class. This makes teaching motorbikes rather complicated, as Haruka is currently leaving a trail of roses sprouting in her wake everywhere she goes. She'd hoped that if she took her feet off the ground it'd stop, but it doesn't seem to be bound to commonsense measures like that.

So come along, anyone interested in motor scooters! Bring yourself however you are. Just don't drive directly behind the teacher. That would turn into a lesson on emergency evasion fast. ]

[There's no fanfare today. The museum has something about the benefits of sheep's wool. There are no decorations up. The clothing shops have the same sort of stock they had yesterday. And there are no specialized dishes at the restaurants, but you can probably find a power bar at the convenience store, but there's nothing new there.

What is new is whatever power you woke up with or without today. What you do with that is up to you and whomever you encounter.]

[Perhaps it would have been easier to stay in doors until night fell. The velvety cover of darkness would have been a comforter, a shielder in all that was new and foreign to her. But Brienne did not want to cover away from battle, even one that took place in her mind, and so she had stepped outside. She had walked down, head held as high as she could, towering over men and women as she walked past, until she reached an area with water. It looked like an ocean. And yet, not quite, an ocean. An image of an ocean, forced into motion.

Brienne sits in the sand, arms around her legs, and stares at the ocean as if she could force it to become real with only the power of her mind.]

Dome denizens! I feel a certain amount of what I believe mortals call 'deja vu'... I have been subjected, once more, to a fate worse than death! The Orange Jumper of Doom. [he tugs distastefully at the collar. He knows where the clothing stores are of course, but everything's so out of sorts he feels the need to make contact and find out what's going on]

[anyone wandering in Sector 3 might find him leaning against one of the willow trees in an attempt to look casual and lazy but really because he's terribly dizzy. He's keeping an eye out for danger though, glancing up from the video feed semi-frequently]

[ Haruka and Michiru are going out to dinner tonight. That isn't so odd. What is odd is that they're walking, hand in hand, instead of using Haruka's scooter. For some reason she's decided she wants to drag this evening out, enjoy a bit of quiet time with her partner. So, no rushing for tonight. Nothing but leisure and living in the moment.

As they approach the less residential area, she squeezes Michiru's hand. ] Say when.

[ Yesterday was irritating.

Haruka hadn't bothered avoiding mirrors - too much of a pain - but seeing blood on her hands every time she passed one was just tacky. The sight also reminded her that no matter how much this prison has come to mean for some of its inhabitants, Haruka has her own Mission to fulfill. She can't do that here.

She doesn't want to fight a futile battle, though, which has stymied her. Wait to act until you're certain of success, then dispose of the problem as efficiently as possible: that's Haruka Tenoh's ideal style. She knows what's waiting for them beyond the prison - now she just has to get back through those doors again. Which involves finding them.

Which is where infiltrating Sector 6 comes in.

Despite the less than stellar weather, Haruka's up early this morning, driving around each Sector in turn with occasional contemplative stops in front of the entrance to 6. She's not going in yet, not today. But the mirrors did remind her of what's at stake, so her resolve's growing. She'll have to discuss it with Michiru, but.....she can't leave things as they are. ]

The wind is shifting.

If anyone is getting rid of their pearls I'll take them.

[Someone's green greed pearl is making it hard to give it up even after hearing Sam's announcement. Besides, she's fine. There's nothing wrong with hers, right? Hoarding is normal and fun! The more pearls are better. She can give it up whenever she wants. She just doesn't want to!]

[ Career day has come to Marina and Sector 0 is abuzz with activity! Booths have been erected, some of them with information about the existing establishments, some of them empty for inmates to man if they feel like advertising their business and one dedicated to the process of starting something completely new. Each establishment comes with its own information poster about career opportunities, but they all follow the same basic principle:

Restaurants, bars and cafés — Waiter, dishwasher, cook, bartender, cleaning and maintenance staff.
Shops and stores — shop clerk, stock assistant, cleaning and maintenance staff.
Hospital — Cleaning and maintenance staff
Athletic Center — cleaning and maintenance staff. Cleaning staff for the horse stable need to be vetted before employed.
Prison maintenance — cleaning and maintenance staff, gardening.

While the career day is mostly geared towards commercial establishments, there's also space reserved for the school and defence force. Bots will be readily available to answer questions and streamline the application process for inmates that wish to take over or start a new establishment. ]

[She doesn't find this cute and she doesn't find this funny. It's hitting too close to home in all the wrong ways. She's doing her best to avoid them, but that is easier said than done. She can be found in various places around the Dome.]

[You won't hear them coming. You won't see their snare. The mistletoe bots are out and they're hunting you, two by two. You can run and you can hide, but eventually you will be caught, and then there's nothing left to do but kiss your way out!

Hey, everyone. I know we had a decent number of new arrivals, yesterday, as well as some returnees. As a sort of tradition now, if doing a few times in a row could be called a tradition, I've been doing a welcome reception over at the Sizzle and Sear. Everyone's welcome to come, including people who've been here a while. Stop by and welcome the newcomers, get to know people you haven't met, yet. All that kind of stuff.

[Piper seemed a little more balanced than she'd been recently after the whole memory influx thing. Maybe a little faster than she should have been? Either way, she wasn't looking a gift horse in the mouth... or taking off a certain pink pearl she didn't realize was affecting her.

She was also feeling particularly talkative today, but she didn't notice that, yet, either.]

Also, we have a cooking class later this morning. We're open to new students. We'll be baking apple pie today. See you then!

[Piper had the classroom set up and ready to go. They were going to be working on an easy recipe for Streusel Apple Pie. All the student stations had the ingredients and supplies set out as she waited for the students to arrive.]

[Later that night, the mingle was in full swing. In addition to the usual menu of slightly classier fare, Piper had a special welcome menu filled up with comfort foods from her world, and from a few others that she'd been learning some recipes for comfort foods about. So, if you weren't from 20th to 21st century Earth where witches, demons, warlocks, whitelighters and other odd creatures existed, you still might find something you like.]

The festival continues. The dome's "sun" begins to set and the the sky is painted in gradually darkening shades until all is dark beyond the warm glow of the lanterns and sparkling of the colored lights on the rides and booths.

The speakers high above on the floating island begin to play soft, instrumental music and the dark dome flickers to life once more as projections of landscapes light the sky. They fade in and out every few minutes with images of cityscapes, deserts, seasides, mountain ranges in shades of futuristic, ancient, post-apocalyptic, foreign, and outer space. It may seem like a random assortment at first, but then the scene shifts again and just might take your breath away as you recognize what you're seeing. No people. No animals. But the landmarks are all there. It's a place you grew up or lived or worked or fought for or died at, and then it's gone again, fading into someone else's memory. Sometimes the scene is distinctly autumn-themed. Sometimes it isn't.

After an hour or so the scene shows another sunset and the sky goes dark aside from the sparkling of a starscape. New lanterns are lit leading a path to the beach where there's a large white open-style tent with a dance floor, the ceiling strewn with fairy lights. Flames light the fire pits and there are several cozy resting areas set up with plush cushions and thick candles half-buried in the sand for light. The music takes on more variety and life, perfectly suitable to dancing. Refreshments are available for those who've yet had their fill or simply need a moment to cool off away from the dance floor for a moment.

You may have noticed the veritable fleet of maintenance bots zipping all over the dome throughout the night, working hard to clean up the dome and set up decorations for this momentous occasion. Come morning there isn't a corner left unfestive, with brightly colored garlands hanging across the streets and wrapping around the sector gates. Even the trees have been primped for the occasion, colors changing into rich reds and oranges. Strings of light hang from the branches and lanterns line the streets, here and there broken up by a pile of stacked hay bales perfect for taking a rest on.

Of course, that is far from all! There wouldn't be much of a festival without entertainment and your loving wardens have made absolutely sure that there's something for everyone!

[ She's had a couple of days to sit on it, and when activity in the dome - "dome", Haruka supposes, really - seems to have settled down, she decides she can't just let things go back to normal. But she's also not about to take anyone into her full confidence, either. Clearly some sort of middle ground needs to be reached.

So this broadcast comes from a particularly poorly-lit area, featuring a rather mysterious shadow in a miniskirt. Depending on how effectively disguises work in your homeworld, you may have no idea who this dramatic figure is. Or you can put two and two together and realize it's totally Haruka in a pleated miniskirt. Your call.

Either way, she has a brief news update for everyone: ] The doors weren't an accident. Someone wanted us to go through them.

[ After making her big announcement, Sailor Uranus went to Sector 0 but couldn't decide where to go from there. So to clear her head she detransformed and is now sitting on the beach with her trouser legs rolled up, letting the sand wash over her toes and ankles.

Time for a nice long brood. ]
