Who: Raven and OPEN
Where: Near the site of the collapsed bridge
When: Mid-afternoon.

Raven had seen on the news that the odds now were that the rescuers at the bridge site would only recover dead bodies and parts of bodies. It sounded like grisly work; it didn't have to be thankless. The easiest way for a baker to show gratitude was with her food. She baked a variety of cookies and placed them in a cookie tin with a tight lid to ensure they stayed dry; she wanted the treats to be perfect for the workers receiving them. She would hand them out to as many of them as she could.

Water never bothered the were-otter personally, but having a wet shirt clinging to her chest was not ideal. Rain was so much more fun in otter form; she wished there was a way she could deliver her treats that way. Since there wasn't, she grabbed her rain jacket and slipped it on as she left her home. She walked the entire way to the bridge site, balancing the tin on one hand with ease. She attracted the occasional stare, even a few questions from the people she passed by. She took the time to answer them. No, her treats weren't for sale, No, it wasn't a gimmick to promote Snow White Sweets. No, she wouldn't be in anyone's way.

Arriving at the pile of rubble that was once a bridge, it became clear that if she wasn't careful, she would be in the way. The workers and volunteers wouldn't let her close, even if she tried. She was still determined to do something for them. She stood as near to the disaster site as she could without interfering and began passing out cookies to the workers who were either just leaving or just arriving. There were desperate people around as well, braving the rain and hoping against the odds that they would find their loved ones. Some held pictures of their loved ones, others held mementos, some simply stood. Raven offered them cookies as well as kind words of encouragement. It was all she could do.

Still having some cookies left in her tin, Raven glanced around to see who else was about.
