Brace yourself with all that you have
Who: Gavin and Brodie
Where: Ozzy's
When: Evening
Gavin didn't want to stay home. He'd be lying if he said Langston was the only one unsettled by the sight of the cage in their apartment. Gavin agreed with the reasons why it was there, and that it was needed, but still, he didn't have to like it. And staying home meant that he'd just sit and worry over the approaching full moon that much more. If he wanted Langston to try and feel better about it, he had to do the same thing. Leading by example, as it were. Seeing as he'd been sure not to book any appointments for the next two days so he'd be around for Lang, it wasn't like Gavin had to worry about being awake early in the morning.
It was rare, though, for him to go out by himself, but Gavin needed some time to collect his thoughts. Under any other circumstances, he would have walked down to Ozzy's, because it wasn't an unmanageable distance from his apartment, but with the way his legs were currently aching, it would probably be too much for him. And the last thing Gavin wanted or needed was another reminder of his car accident, ever. It helped being on friendly terms with most of the cab drivers in Scarlet Oak, too, and any other day there would have been some idle chitchat as they drove. Tonight Gavin just stared out the window and watched the rain, glad to see that Ozzy's was still open. With everything that had been going on in town the last few weeks, it was sometimes hard to tell.
Ducking into the building, Gavin flicked his hair out of his eyes and looked over the bar. Not too crowded, and it looked like there was a band getting set up to play onstage. Awesome, he'd made it just in time. He took a seat at the bar and flashed the guy behind the counter a tiny smile. "Gin and tonic, please. Whenever you get a chance." Really, Gavin was in no rush.
