Who: Bunny and Locke
where: SOHS
When: A bit after the incident
Things like what went down in the cafeteria were somewhere on the list of reasons why Locke wasn't sure he wanted to go through yet another life. He wasn't even sure he wanted to go through this one anymore. Yes, incidents that were bloody and involved violence enacted on others for reasons that he wasn't even sure of were enough to send the phoenix into a dark little pit of depression. Granted he had already been halfway down thanks to everything that was happening with Cole and probably Angeline too, but this was making it worse. He'd messed up and that was his fault, he had to deal. What had Penny done? Locke didn't know her that well since she was two grades below him, but he didn't think that she seemed like that bad of a girl. There were worse people out there who deserved to get attacked by girls with boxcutters more.
And Cole was there. Yeah, that was what Locke had focused in on to keep from freaking out over students attacking students, blue hair that didn't seem attached to an upset person. Probably shock. Teenagers didn't always know how to handle blood.
I've seen more blood than any of them. Except maybe for that Darklis girl...
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Locke hiked his backpack up on his shoulder and craned his neck to peer out the window, hoping to catch sight of his guardian. He understood that things were tough for her since she was still going through that whole cancer thing - not cool, he wished it wasn't happening - but he was having to go through high school again. High school and crazies who - oh hey, Bunny. Locke had been meaning to catch up with her ever since he saw her change her relationship status on Facebook. He refused to admit the little thrill it had given him because he doubted it was actually a good thing. Abandoning his post by the window, he walked over in front of her. "Hey Bunny. Holding up okay?" Was she friends with Penny? A question Locke realized he didn't know the answer to, but if it was 'yes' then she wouldn't be doing okay so he needed to make sure that she was alright. If he could focus on someone else for a few minutes then he wouldn't have to just be standing there with his thoughts about the general decline of humanity.
Or speedy decline. It's pretty damn speedy these days. When people blew up bridges...
