All move to the sound of her beat Who: K-lee and Whisper When: Just after sunset Where: Whisper's home
To say that K-lee was a little nervous about her invite over to Whisper's would've been completely accurate. She just wouldn't ever admit it because damnit, she was a demonic witch and she wasn't afraid of anything. Except for vampires who also happened to be pretty much the top of the line when it came to the fashion world. Whisper hadn't called her for a few weeks so K-lee had been left to her own devices wandering around town, fiddling with curses here and there and being completely amused by the black-blooded girl who didn't want to spill her own blood. If K-lee had black blood then she'd be using it all over the place. Unique got you places and people who bled black had to be unique. Their blood would also make some of the most interesting spells -- too bad she hadn't ever gotten that far into blood magic. 'And this is the game that you play when you're trying to keep me from listening in on all the thoughts going through your head. It's not working, K-lee, you're totally spooked and I know it.' K-lee had told Malo that he wasn't welcome on this trip and the bobcat had still insisted on climbing into the backseat and coming along. The witch was pretty close to going to a pet store to buy a kennel to keep him in when she went out. 'They don't make kennels for bobcats.'
"Yeah well, you're still a cub so you'd fit just fine in a small one. Now stop trying to tell me why I'm thinking like I am. I need to focus." Because K-lee wasn't going to walk into Whisper's place looking like she was spooked. Or even smelling like it. That was the weird thing about working for a vampire, knowing that she could probably smell whatever emotion you had going at the moment rolling right off of you. Movies played that up a lot and K-lee had to wonder if they were at all accurate about the smell being extremely appetizing. Whisper had admitted that she was quite fond of biting her models when the mood took and she'd approved of K-lee's blood-type...
'Sit out in the car much longer and she's going to start wondering why you're not inside yet.' Malo was up in the window, ears pricked forward as he stared at the house he'd been told he wasn't supposed to go in. Whisper didn't seem to have anything against cats, but that blonde sire of hers had a cleaning problem and a furry little fuzzball who left tufts of his hair all over the place wasn't exactly what the doctor ordered. 'Like you humans are really any better. You shed too! I find pieces of your hair all over the apartment. Especially in the shower. It's like you're trying to pull all of your hair out or something. And that? That is wrong.' Malo'd gotten pretty good at this argument of his and K-lee could almost see his point. Except she used a brush and not her tongue to brush out her dead pieces of hair. Her way was better.
Finally, K-lee pulled the keys out of the ignition, and slipped them into her purse. One last adjustment to her hair and the model was out of the car and going up the drive. She'd changed her outfit twice before coming over, deciding at last that if she was here to model it'd be better to be in something simple so she could change out of it. And even if she wasn't here to model then it was better to look simple and well put together than flashy. Whisper could handle her in jeans and a tanktop, K-lee had no idea how she'd react to her in something she deemed to be more comfortable. And she didn't really need to find out. With one last mental command for Malo to stay in the car, K-lee pressed the doorbell firmly.
