Look, I know that we live in Seattle, I know that it's the grayest blah blah blah and it rains all the time, but seriously. Rain, every day. No snow. It's cold. Cold means snow, and snow means Winter Wonderland.

Which means that somebody should get on that, or else there's going to be words. If we've got people that can run around and be super heroes, and people who can do all this crazy stuff, there's got to be at least one person who can control the weather!

So maybe patience isn't a virtue of mine. It's not like that's a surprise to anyone!

Since I have to be fucking tortured by goddamn christmas shiny happy bullshit from a week ago till January

What's your favorite Christmas song? Between my sister and my coworker and the lame musical selections at the mall last Friday I've already heard all of them this year and it's not even December yet. :)

You're all a bunch of fucking hypocritical brainwashed capitalist sheep

Well, color me an idiot and send me to the fair on Sunday.

I think movies and ice cream aren't exactly going to cut it, this time. Night out on the town? Meet some gentlemen, get into some trouble?

Any takers?

I thought I could read people a little better than that. Maybe I really do need a new job.

I couldn't help but notice that all the information packets that I left in the lobby for PETA are still there. I would encourage everyone in Hamartia for the fifth time to pick up one of these very informative packets and read up. The treatment of animals in this country (and most of the others) is absolutely abhorrent! And they're animals. What are they going to do without people to step up and look out for them?

Even if you don't buy into all of what PETA stands for, you could at least take a look. There's plenty of non-vegetarian practices that promote the general wellbeing of animals! I also have information packets from the Humane Society, if you'd prefer.

And if anyone from either of the other buildings wants information, just ask. I don't have a problem dropping stuff off for interested parties.

Edit: For the record, I know very well that PETA can be crazy. That doesn't mean that everything they say is crazy. The information contained in the packets I'm talking about is specific and not-crazy.

This week only: all organics, reduced prices.

Still the same quality you can always expect; just a surplus of product.

Public.

Another change of scenery, new faces once more, it seems.

It will be interesting to see if this forum proves intriguing or useful in time, but I suppose that remains to be seen at the moment. Please do introduce yourselves, I must admit I'm curious as to who might be reading.

So um.. dudes/dudettes in Hamartia, you might want to avoid the roof for a couple of days. I may or may not have accidently broken the railing just a little bit, last night. Sorry, I’ll have it fixed in a few, I promise! In the meantime, look at the stars from your bedroom windows and find somewhere else for your midnight training sessions (you know who you are! also I hear the dojo’s really awesome). And if you do decide that you can’t keep away, watch out for sharp pointy things and don’t fall off the roof, okay? (Please!)

PS. If anyone finds my skateboard around the building, I would like it back! Just cause it’s fallen off the roof and may be broken, doesn’t mean I don’t want the parts!

So there's been a lot in the news about vigilantes and heroes lately. I'm still just getting into the groove of things here, so I don't know if this is a common theme here in Seattle, but I'm curious about all your opinions, fellow semi-anonymous forum friends.

Vigilantes: good, bad, necessary, useless?

[A few hours after the masquerade]

Did we all enjoy the evening? Compliments to Mr. Mercer who hosted the fine event. I'd have sought you out afterwards but found myself busy. I left a gift instead, housewarming - do let me know if you found it and if it helped contribute to the atmosphere.

To the rest of you - those of you who put up with a Phantom for an evening - I thank you. It's a rare evening one can spend out and enjoy themselves at without minimal issues. That said - to the Skeleton, I hope you make good use of what you were told. New lessons will come your way only if I see it fully employed. To the Belly-dancer, keep an eye out on the horizon. Plans for fear are always underway. To the Fairy - how foolish were you over the course of the evening? Come on, don't be shy. To the girl in 18th century ware. I'd advise you to be as proactive as you wish to be. You'll enjoy yourself more. And do realize that while most things can be taken as a joke, there's truth.

And most importantly, Detective Warda - I'm sorry your stay had to end so quickly. Perhaps next time, we'll make it a more permanent arrangement.

What a way to start!

Best way to start all this, I think, is with a BANG.

I bought my costume - not telling, especially because I still have to make the rounds tonight - Kappa Alpha's having a kegger, and surprise, surprise, I'm invited.

I'll have to remember to bring an extra notebook this time.

Some lady in the park told me that my dogs were too big. The nerve - sorry that your dog's the size of a loaf of bread, but if he's scared of Bud and Lou, that's your problem, not mine. Sure, they get a little friendly, but that's part of their charm, believe me.

So! Besides the kegger, I've got an appointment with Casablanca and some Cherries Garcia. Anybody want to join me?

One couldn't call a forum the most unusual thing to be seen, especially in a world such as this. However, it doesn't change the fact the peculiarities behind this network. Here we are via different methods and means, but lumped together based on one fact: we don't belong here. None of us do. If you came over as a child or only last week, it doesn't change the fact. Surely you've seen the changes that mark us differnet from the locals.

So tell me. Why move into one of these buildings? They're only open to those from Musings, reserved for all of us who are continually out of place. If you read this message, why are you? You didn't need to open your computer, you didn't need to get on these forums. You didn't need to move into Hamartia, Bathos, or Abade. Peer pressure is even above that.

We've kept quiet for so long - or have attempted to keep quiet. Why give it up now? Is it loneliness? Can't take being away from home? Are we supposed to gather for therapy, dealing with our newfound mortality and sudden arrival of powers? Or do we carry on, as we have for years before this, merely attempting to fit in?

Just by being here, you must realize, you've admitted it.

You’re going to be disappointed if you were expecting something profound. I’m looking for a decent coffee place in the Rainier Valley area – preferably cheap. Not really a fan of the commercial stuff.

Help a lady out, would you.
