Mr. Brandon,

I'm quite sure you're handling this the best you can, but I've got to say, the Board needs something more than quiet reminders of their place.  They believe your absence is indicative of your lack of interest in the company, which only heightens their belief that you are, in fact, the Bat.  Now, I'm doing the best I can here, but it looks bad when Orin Monarch makes a statement before Thomas Brandon does.  Our PR department keeps feeding bullshit to the media, but it's just making things all the more difficult for yourself.  I know this is a difficult time for you and your family, and I'm not trying to make this into some sort of contest about who you're going to choose, but I need to know just how much more damage control I'm going to need to do in order to do my job effectively.

I can see why you've placed me on the Board. I will reign them in as best I can. Taxes have been filed finally, though why your Board wanted to sit on them is beyond me. The test trials for one of our projects will be underway later today.

I'm not sure if you were aware, but I met with Mr. Henry a few days before our first meeting, primarily regarding Alfie, but he did mention he was taking classes at the University of Washington. He is a very bright young man with a good head on his shoulders, and I can't help but wonder what he would make of your board.

I just wanted to give you a rundown on some of the products and projects you've acquired.  We are currently looking into a feasible flight suit for base jumping.  That particular project should be ready for trial phases in a few weeks.  There are a few projects working in collaboration with each other to improve the safety and durability of personal vehicles.  The most pressing one, however, is the potential for military applications of computer networking software.  I'll be working closely on that particular project, and keep you updated. 

In other news, I believe we're a bit ahead of Monarch Industries for a while after that stunt Mr. Monarch pulled at the Arbor Party.   I'm almost sorry I didn't attend.
