L Henry, G Dailey, D Hockney, P Rawlings

[Locked to L Henry]
I didn't see you wandering around on Father's Day. How we doing?

[Locked to G Dailey]
I'm going to avoid this fog as an initial topic, and ask how the groveling went, instead.

[Locked to D Hockney]
Any intel on Knight's location? This fog would help us get in and out without notice.

[Locked to P Rawlings]
Truce, Rawlings?

open vigilante comm and locked forum message

[Both of these things are sent at around 9:15 pm on Monday, after Spidey meets the Blacks.]

[ Open Vigilante Comm ]

[Spider-Man waited a few minutes to calm himself down before going on the comm, but his voice still betrays his injuries. His breaths are slow and labored, and when he does speak, his voice is a bit hoarse.]

Hey, cats and kittens. Can anyone hook a spider up with a good fabric store? I need to invest in a better suit.

[There's a pause, during which he manages to sum up a great bit of flippancy in his voice.] And on a completely unrelated note, Oracle, Rescue, I need a three-way. Don't worry, I'll be gentle.

[ Locked to Z. Zaldana ]
[From the Anon account with the Spider icon.]

i don't suppose your kisses cover injuries other than dog bites?

[LOCKED: G. DAILEY/S. PRESTON]
Very interesting article in the paper today.

[LOCKED: G. DAILEY/T. BRANDON]
I had grand plans of sending you a father’s day present a day after the fact (I sense a tradition on the horizon). Then I realized that not only am I completely terrible at buying you gifts, but getting said present into your hands, and not lost in red tape and corporate handling, was nearly impossible.

So instead, I’m letting my thoughts count. I hope you had a very happy father’s day.

[LOCKED: G. DAILEY/L. DANIELS]
I’m guessing from the lack of horrified phone calls, your costume party experience went okay?

(after this is mentioned)
[LOCKED: G. DAILEY/L. HENRY]
Spill. How bad is it?

(after this is delivered back to her)
[ISOLATED COMM CHANNEL: ORACLE/ARROW]
All right, Arrow. What happened?

[ Text to A. Morgenstern ]

I spoke with Jonathan about his penchant for calling me Daria. He informed me that he teases to demonstrate his approval of your choice and women. To show that I understood, I lead him on with a vivid story about a party I was planning for your siblings. The story ended with my admission that I had hired a prostitute for the occasion that had once been a man. He didn't seem to appreciate it.

[ Locked to G. Dailey ]

In which Daryl asks a very reasonable favor. )

[ E-Mail to M. Morgenstern ]

Dr. Morgenstern,

I hope you have been well since I last saw you. I am contacting you to inform you of a case that I am working on that could benefit from the expertise of someone in the medical profession. Would you be interested in sharing your insights with me on this matter?

Thank you,
- Daryl

open vigilante comm

[Sent out late Friday night, after the Spider meets a certain Cat. doc forthcoming]

Okay, so I've got a question for all of you guys. And girls, this question is gender-neutral. Can someone please explain to me why it seems that when you look at the whack jobs this city seems to pop out like the Duggers pop out babies, the men are all pretty ugly and the women are all ridiculously hot? Is it a self-esteem thing, like the guys want to compensate and the girls just like the power their looks give them? Discuss. Inquiring spiders want to know.

A small and late head’s up that someone we know has picked up a comm.

[ISOLATED COMM CHANNEL: ORACLE/MISFIT]
Misfit? It’s Oracle. Are you going on patrol anytime soon?

[LOCKED: ANONYMOUS/D. WALLACE] (using the ‘computer’ icon)
I believe someone told you to expect me.

C Moran, G Dailey, K West

[Locked to C Moran, impulsively, after returning from this.]
Hi. I know I'm supposed to see you tomorrow, but I haven't had a chance to tell Gwen, and since she bailed me out, I don't want to just disappear. [...] And there's this costume party I really want to go to. [...] Can we meet after the party ends? [...] Right after, I promise.

[Left on the kitchen table for G Dailey, after spending the day cleaning the apartment until it shines, collecting her things from Hayley and her last paycheck from Edison: 100 dollars, and a note.]
You didn't go to Edison and get my suit and knives, did you?

[Locked to K West.]
Are you eating okay?

It's a little late, but better late then never, no?

I know there are a few runners out there (Yes, I'm looking at you. You = Max, Laura, and Gwen) and I thought I'd inform you that there is a marathon and a half-marathon going on June 25th.

I don't suppose anyone would be interested in joining me, would they? I promise rewards* if you do.

*Rewards are given at my discretion. Don't pout, I'll be sure to give everyone something fitting.

[EMAIL: ORACLE/BAT]
We've got some problems. Got a minute?

[EMAIL: ORACLE/CORBINIAN]
We need to talk about Rorschach.

[LOCKED: G. DAILEY/R. DARMAN]
Hypothetically speaking, how bad would it be to impersonate a federal officer? Not counting the usual fines and prison time.

Quick. Tell me something gossip related, so I can get my mind off the crazy shit going on in this town. Darman news?

Congratulations, Arakkis. The city's new insane vigilante? All yours to cover. Talkative asshole. Kid, get the man some photographs.

L Morgenstern, K Mancuso, Oracle

[Email to L Morgenstern at Kings County PD]
Attached are my findings on: a) The thirteen victims of the recent bombings. Forensic information on material in the pipe bombs is included. Chemicals and materials are inexpensive, general supply goods. b) The death ruling for the Michael Eyerson case, which has already been provided to the D.A.'s office. c) The ruling on the Jane Doe slaying at the warehouse downtown. Additionally, I've included the autopsy reports for the snow related deaths, as well as the information I have sent to FAA for the international plane crash.

[Email to K Mancuso]
Thirteen bodies for you, plus one Jane Doe. [Report for the Jane Doe killing attached. She figures he's seen the news about the bombings.]

[Email to Oracle]
[Basic body count for all crimes related to the bombings (13), the plane crash (257), and the snow (89).] I wish I had better news to provide to you.

open vigilante comm

[Sent after this conversation and the weather change.]

So who's enjoying the weather now? I've got my spidey swim trunks out of the closet, someone point me to the best pool in Seattle. [He skips a beat.] So we've got half of the Weatherman mystery solved, but that still leaves the Bodysnatcher out and about. Anyone made any progress? [Another pause.] And I've also got news about that lovely Doctor that's been on the news and forums, crazy bird and dog guy? He's moved up the food chain again.
