How many of you disgraced yourselves last night, kittens? It looked like almost everyone took a turn in the Mezzanine from where I was standing! I'm a full advocate for stress-relief, but that hardly seems the way to go for most of you.

So chickadees, a community drowning in masks is going to go to a masked ball. Bad taste or just making you all feel nice and comfortable? We've got syringes littering the hallway of not just the low-income housing but the topic on my mind is house-guests. How to keep them from poking their noses where they're not wanted: advice invited from the floor!

Step #1: acquire (find) place to live - done.

Step #2: acquire (find) food, because seriously - done.

Step #3: acquire (fine!) adequate musical instrument - in progress.

[The Aubade apartment is finished on Friday, and it is decorated in a modern sort of of spartan opulence that Wren would never have selected for herself (except for the room with the trees, which she admittedly adores). Wren prefers vintage elegance, but she can't imagine Eve feeling at home anywhere like that. She slips a note under the door of Hamartia 606, along with Eve's keys to Aubade 406. It's time to give up Hamartia, Eve, and live in your new world.]

Friends, Romans, countrymen...any idea what this means? [A picture of a nazar necklace is posted here] Mrs. Kokinos across the street gave it to me when I helped her with the groceries. She didn't really say what it meant, I think, her accent is a little just that she wanted me to have it. I'd google it myself, but I don't know what to call it.

I have a question I'd like to see answered honestly. No showmanship, no practiced line. I want a real answer.

The people in masks. Why do you do what you do? What is about? Is it about getting famous? Is it about being the hero, or a crusade to fix the world with your bare hands? What is it that motivates you?

And for the record, if there are any clowns hovering around on here, I fail to see the point of your little stunt. Congratulations! You stole a pittance from a small-time bank and shot your own men. What did you hope to accomplish with such a pointless fling? The only dead civilian was a guard on your side. Hardly a successful run when you're killing your own. It's a wonder anyone is willing to work with you at all.

[after done with the hospital, probably around four or five in the morning. The jolting sound is that of someone running at the same time as speaking, voice pitched flat and matter-of-fact. It's tired, it's sick of the whole affair -- but leaving a message, tidying up loose ends]
