I'm curious to know how I merited an invitation to a house warming party when I do not even know the invitees.

Today's grand question is why bloody hell are sales pushed this time of the year, when we've watched prices inch up for the last few months? Am I the only one who's noticed it?

So with the Thomas Inc. dinner tomorrow I have to ask is anyone planning on going after the craziness that happened at the masquerade because I really don't want to end up macking on some random dude because of magic or whatever.

Lane, it's Regan. Public post so you don't have to log in - I'm staying at work tonight. Stay indoors and don't use the oven, with what's going around, alright? Too much trouble and we don't need anyone else getting hurt.

[There's a shout and she sighs]

Keep safe and don't worry about me.

Discussion topic #467:

How often do you lot keep track of birthdays now that you've crossed over? Still ignore them? Still pay attention? Finally ignore them? Why?

I couldn't help but notice that all the information packets that I left in the lobby for PETA are still there. I would encourage everyone in Hamartia for the fifth time to pick up one of these very informative packets and read up. The treatment of animals in this country (and most of the others) is absolutely abhorrent! And they're animals. What are they going to do without people to step up and look out for them?

Even if you don't buy into all of what PETA stands for, you could at least take a look. There's plenty of non-vegetarian practices that promote the general wellbeing of animals! I also have information packets from the Humane Society, if you'd prefer.

And if anyone from either of the other buildings wants information, just ask. I don't have a problem dropping stuff off for interested parties.

Edit: For the record, I know very well that PETA can be crazy. That doesn't mean that everything they say is crazy. The information contained in the packets I'm talking about is specific and not-crazy.

This week only: all organics, reduced prices.

Still the same quality you can always expect; just a surplus of product.

A lesson in forum etiquette:

Before hitting that 'post' button look up. Not only is there a spell check, but there is a preview button. Closely reread what you wrote. Is there anything you'll regret later? Have you posted any time recently in the last twenty-four hours? Are you setting yourself up to being poked at?

Rewrite or rerecord it.

Is there anything that's likely to have you end up with a tomato in your face? Edit. Unless you like the feeling - to each their own.

Remember what your mother likely told you about behavior in public, ladies and gents.

Does anyone have an apartment they're not using? Preferably one on a corner, not on the first floor, with no neighbors? If you're going on vacation or something, I'll house sit. For free.

Or that I could pay I just need it for a couple of hours, sometimes. I'll pay. Even if you're just at work or something, or...

I sound insane. Or like I'm trying to rob somebody.

I sent her a riddle she seemed to enjoy, and I received a thermometer and measure of her temperature for the trouble. So that was excellent advise on your part. [...] I also had this very bizarre dream about her.

Is anyone here interested in going to Temple with me tomorrow? I feel the need to be a good Jewish boy to say thanks for that crazy dream.

Hey, I don't know how useful these forum things are but I figured I'd give it a try. I sort of need a job now that I have rent to pay, and, uh, I was hoping that there might be someone here who is either looking for an employee or knows someone who is. I'm willing to learn, and I'll do pretty much anything. There's just [...] a couple of problems. I have no ID, no social security number, no birth certificate, and no diploma. I'm working on getting it, but for right now I need a job somewhere that's not going to care about that. Um, any takers?

[Muffled, turned away from the microphone] Regan, did I do that right... oh.

[Microphone fumbled and then switched off.]

[After Wren fled breakfast and the Masquerade, Cass is back to his usual cantankerous self.]

I sincerely hope that everyone made it home from the masquerade in one piece. I am told by the Seattle Times that the party was the smash hit of the season, mostly because there was a great deal of sex behind closed curtains. How tragic, what the information age has done to random assignations in semi-public.

Begs the question, doesn't it - what is private, anymore? Is anything? Not as far as I can tell, but some will surely beg to differ. Is it right, the proliferation of exposure about everyone and anyone, even when attending what should ostensibly be a private function where they need not fear bad behavior under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the punch?

If one more of my employees comes in late and uses the 'I was voting' excuse, I'm firing the entire staff except two and starting fresh. Civic duties are very important. Doing them before your shift is also important.

That said, several repeat offenders have been dismissed, and their jobs are open. Anyone seeking employment should drop by Phantasia and see me before the weekend. I hate to be understaffed on Fridays. Waitresses, bartenders, security... I'm open-minded.

When you come in, ask for Liz. Someone will bring you to me.

Apparently there's a bandwagon for moving into one of these buildings. Never said I was above the influence, but it seems like a nice one, doesn't it? Don't over think that. For all you know I'm in Aubade and a snooty bitch who's husband's off and plowing underage girls each Oh to hell with it In any case, any recommendations for hotspots what normal people do and the like around Bathos? I'm not used to this section of the town and tips would be lovely.

And as I caught a flier on the way in - what's this about a masquerade?
