[It's late though not as late as the timing of this post might indicate, and Artemis is in the athletic center testing out her newest accessory—a bow. It just took days of scouring for supplies to assemble arrows and a friend with magic who could help out with the bow.

She spends some time abusing a target with them. It's clear her aim is good, but that doesn't mean she isn't frustrated. She hasn't been able to practice since arriving except in laser tag, so it's not quite at the level she wants. So, just a few more shots.

And maybe it's not just the aim that's bothering her. She saw ghosts of her family recently and before that people from "the future" were talking about her death. She hasn't talked to anyone about it. Why bother when she can just drive more arrows into her little target?]

[SO LIKE. let's skip all the 'wow prison' 'oh this sucks' 'I don't belong here' and move straight on to there's a dude in the stables and he's new round these parts, dagnabit. and yeah he took it upon himself to start mucking because he's really good at mucking out stables. never mind that if he doesn't keep busy he'll go bananas. or maybe oranges. (why is it always bananas why isn't it ever oranges.)

[Dick shows up on the video with a bright orange octopus on his head. And he is perfectly comfortable with it. Because why wouldn't he be when he's been given permission to where hilarious hats. He's wandering around Sector 9 right now eating food and picking out hats where he sees them.]

Kind of fits, considering where we're at, huh? [He pushes the one tentacle out of his face.] But the best part about this is the game. It's a game everybody can play. Or anybody who isn't too scared about owing someone a favor.

So come on, bring on the words and the guessing! Just step up and someone can challenge you or something. Don't be shy. We can even include letters or questions to hint at what the word is.

[before he makes his video post, he is in Tva Park practicing a levitation spell that he got from a book in the library. He's not doing too badly, but something breaks his concentration and forces him to stop - a sudden dizziness, and then a familiar and unexpected beating of wings.]

Ikol! Hm, and here I thought I was free of you - though I suppose an interdimensional prison is just the place to put you...

[Ikol settles on his shoulder and fluffs his feathers before beginning to preen, telling him Just the place to not put me, or you. Prolonged imprisonment has never been Loki's preferred style.

Loki finds he's actually a little glad to have someone from back home that he can talk with, even if that someone is his evil and untrustworthy former self.]

Greetings, newbies! Welcome and well met and other similar pleasantries, although I suspect you are none of you very pleased to be here.

Don't worry. I know just what will cheer you up - a game! It's called "Make guesses on the nature and timing of the next catastrophe to befall us inmates."

[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

Enjoy, mingle and come as you want to be.]

Okay, as much fun as getting stranded in the Sector with a Spa and Arcade's been? Not really looking forward to have to sleep in the park tonight. Especially with so-called "random" rain-showers that seem to have a knack for--

[She's interrupted mid-sentence by her own stomach, which growls loudly. A wince, a frown, and suddenly it becomes very apparent that the poor girl hasn't eaten anything all day.]

...I don't suppose anybody'd be willing to put me up for the night? Or at least make a quick run to the convenience store?

[Robin looks very, very serious. As if he's about to give Marina some really bad news.]

Okay, what gives? [Hi, MarinaNova, Artemis is back, and she doesn't exactly remember the part where she left. She looks and sounds a liiiiittle annoyed.]

One minute I'm going to sleep and the next I'm wearing that jumpsuit everyone was talking about. Oh, and I finally got the welcome message now that I already know all of it. [She didn't know what her crimes were. She's not loving those which is just fuel to the fire.]

And what's the deal with this place? [She picks up a jar with a dark red liquid inside.] Is this supposed to be blood or something? [In fact it is. She's in the Vampire Blood Shack.] No one mentioned a prison goth bar.

(OOC: She kept her 4th wall memories, so she doesn't (didn't) think any time has passed since then.)

[Eridan is currently on his way from Sector 1 at the beach to Sector 4 so that he can visit his moirail, if anyone would like to run into him for a chat they can feel free to. Otherwise, he will just be on his way, until he ends up at the door to Cain's apartment.

Immediately, he begins to jimmy at the lock as he usually does when he visits.]

I think it's a given that most of us hate it here. I know I do. [her tone turns coy, innocent, like how any girl her age would sound if she weren't a psychotic, murdering little she-devil.]

If you could, would you want to see your home once more? Even if it's only for a minute? Or...even if you have to give up something to see it?

[When Wally woke up this morning he found out that his friends that arrived yesterday were gone and that gave him conflicted feelings. He knows it's better off that their not stuck here but he's going to miss them.

Which is why he's currently on the couch at Robin and Zatanna's apartment with a carton of ice cream sitting in his lap and a spoon in his hand. He takes a big scoop of the ice cream and puts it in his mouth before speaking, his annoyance at recent events obvious by his tone.]

I must say my first few days here have been anything less than boring. With the glitches, people coming and going, and now it appears that I'm not only trapped at this underwater paradise but in the apartment as well. I just can't wait to see what happens next.

[He puts another spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.]

Okay, let me get this straight: I was arrested for... what? Saving the world? Fighting crime? I didn't even get a trial-- this is a gross miscarriage of justice.

[He's wandering around Marina. He might be a little hard to see, since he's sticking to alleyways and shadows, but you can find him if you happen to look his way. It's hard to ninja in broad daylight in a place like this.]

[Zatanna isn't looking particularly amused right now. Nor is she looking bemused or even just mused. No, her face is set in an oddly neutral expression, contrasting greatly with her soaking wet appearance. Hair in disarray, some of the strands sticking to her skin, she basically looks like she's just been thrown into a giant pool with her clothes on.]

[Her tone, however, is flat. Flat and dry.]

Hey, Wally, remember when we were talking about what a possible "malfunction" could mean?

Well I'll give you a hint: it just snowed on me. A lot.

[Unblinking, she reaches back to grab a fistful of hair and squeezes, creating a nice sized puddle at her feet.]

[ The feed will start showing Sheryl Nome's playful and excited face. There was something else in her eyes too. And that is mischief. A lot of it. The person was shouting for her to get away from the ledge of the tallest building she could find.

Her initial purpose was to just look at the walls of their prison and admire the water. She had never seen so much water before. Not even at the Frontier, but now she found another fun reason to be up there.

Sheryl reconized Kohran's voice of course and leaned down over the ledge to look at her. Maybe she should feel guilty making her roomie so worried like that, unforunately as much as she really liked her roomate --- she was not immune to Sheryl's antics ]

[ She puts her communicator down --- with a clear view of what she was about to do. With one last turn for the camera, she blows the people watching a kiss ---

[ Sup Marina. It seem Ashton is getting used to living here, but there are still some parts of daily life that he has to get adjusted to! So he is coming to you over this audio call with a very important request...

While still dressed in that godawful orange jumpsuit. Yes, he's been wearing it a few days now. No, it doesn't bother him, because he's certainly gone on longer without changing clothes. At least he bathed! He's not a barbarian. Wrong Class.

He also doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that he's showing on the feed, dragon necks coming out of his back and all. ] I never realized before how inconvenient it is to have just one outfit. A limited selection is fine for traveling, when carrying a light load is ideal. [ Quieter. ] Even then you really need to visit streams often or things are going to start smelling really bad...

[ Anyway... ]

But here? With these fancy machines making laundry a cinch, it would be nice to have some options.

I just, uh... that is. [ The young man clears his throat, and if you listen close, you can hear grumbling in the background. ] I would need some help from a tailor or two so that I can have some shirts that actually fit. I can tear and fix them on my own — I've got at least that much skill — but I want them to look like they were made for me!

My only problem is payment. I can't work my old job here. It is impossible to be a hired sword without swords! So... since there's no currency, you would have to let me know how I could make it up to you. I don't have a lot of other skills, but maybe we could come to some kind of arrangement?
