[Wally has always loved Christmas and even the idea of celebrating it in prison wasn't going to change that, especially when this provides him with a chance to cheer up the others after Robin's departure and their two day "vacation" at Squall. He really thinks they could all use some fun, even if it only serves as a temporary distraction from everything that's happened. Also, Artemis and Zatanna apparently missed celebrating the holiday back home, and he figures it's his duty to try and give them the best possible Christmas he can to make up for it.

And to do that, there has to be presents, lights, decorations, and they'll need to get a tree for the apartment. A real tree; not one of those fake ones that pretend to be a tree. Those are completely unacceptable in the West household and he will not make an exception this time.

So Wally is a teenage boy on a mission as he excitedly goes from store to store in search of the perfect gifts for all of his friends and other holiday items.]
