Again with the things that Satu didn't understand. She wasn't little and didn't demand every second of her mother's time so why was it that Linnea needed 'alone time'? And how come that always meant that Satu was left needing to find somewhere else to be? She knew how to stay in her room! 'Not really.' Had she asked her turtle? 'Well you don't. If you want something or get curious then you'll find her and poke at her until you get your answer.' Satu stuck her tongue out at Blastoise before hopping out of the car, remembering to thank Dagmar for the ride before she drug her feet up the walk. It wasn't that she didn't like staying at the Landers or anything, their house was pretty cool and they were a decent family, it was just that she didn't want to be away from her mom. She wanted to keep an eye on her. How else was she supposed to know what was going on with that thing inside of her? I need a baby book. Or whatever it is that explains how all of that works. If school was in session she'd ask one of her teachers to remind her what book they'd read in health class when the process had been explained but since she wasn't she'd need to remember on her own.

Reaching the door she glanced around for the doorbell and pressed the small button a few times before rocking back on her heels, thumbs hooked around the straps of her backpack while she waited. 'Are they all elementals too?' Satu shook her head. "Issy is... and Mrs. Landers is a water like mom, so is Niamh I think? But her brother isn't. Neither is her dad, I think they're psychics." Hopefully not telepaths because Satu hadn't ever liked having other people read her mind. Sure her father had been doing it since before she could remember and likely Leif too, but that didn't mean she had to like it. 'Like Leif?' Another shrug. "I can't remember. I have enough trouble remember what it is that Valterri can do and I live with him." Remembering meant caring and Satu? Didn't.

The full moon meant one thing to Kristen and it was the same thing that it'd meant for as long as she could remember. Missy was going to be busy and she was going to be at someone else's house. it was usually the same one though and she arrived with Missy, sleeping bag under one arm, backpack on while she blinked up at Linnea. Her sister trusted the woman with the accent, not that Kristen had room to talk, so she did too. Even if she most definitely didn't trust her daughter. Satu was a few years older than her, Silvia's age, but she wasn't near as nice. If Missy knew that then Kristen was almost sure she wouldn't bring her. But Kristen wasn't the sort to go crying to her big sister.

Maybe tonight would be different and Satu would leave her alone. And maybe Missy will come home early and I'll get to sleep back in my bed and not have Linnea tell her that I left all of the nights on again. Sighing, Kristen settled in at the kitchen table with her sketchbook. She could at least try to have some fun and hope that maybe she was right. Or maybe Satu was gone! That thought perked the girl right up and she even started humming to herself as she sketched. It'd be nice if maybe she got to watch a movie with Linnea or something instead... she was very nice, reminded Kristen of her own mom.

One of those family rituals that Jokull stuck to every time he was home was the Sunday morning breakfast. Linnea'd get up and make a delicious breakfast for them and they'd all sit down and talk pleasantly. Or attempt to. At least he'd attempt it and get varied responses. Valterri was usually the most responsive out of all of them. But the silence didn't bother him much because even if they didn't say it, they thought it. He had to keep tabs on his children and wife somehow, learn if there was anything he'd missed during his time in Detroit that needed seeing to.

Especially Linnea's little adventures.

Upon exiting his room, still tugging at his tie to make sure that it was straight, Jokull allowed Arich to skitter up his arm and perch on his shoulder. That usually managed to keep Linnea from saying anything she otherwise might. "Good morning," he greeted the woman in the kitchen, picking up the paper and settling into his chair at the head of the table. "Are the children awake?"
