Who: Adrian and Charlene
When: Afternoon
Where: U of M Hospital
In Adrian's professional opinion, it was a bad idea to have interns studying the mermaid during rounds. Rounds could be voyeuristic and unpleasant enough for the patients as it was, but for someone who really seemed to dislike both hospitals and humans, it just seemed like a recipe for disaster.
Besides, it struck him as a real waste of time. How many more merfolk were the doctors here likely to have to treat? He'd rather have his interns learning relevant things about
human anatomy. They needed the practice.
But it wasn't his call to make, and at least the rounds were handled by his superiors. He wasn't sure what all they were doing with the mermaid, to be honest. Maybe they
were skipping over her and keeping the students occupied with other patients, though he doubted it. He'd have to ask her. He was due to check on her anyway, and hopefully she would be healing well enough that they could send her home when they'd said they would. It was always disappointing to have to tell a patient they'd have to stay longer.
He picked up her chart and flipped through it as he entered her room. "How're you doing, Ms. Pearl?"
