A potentially volatile meeting.

WHO: Allegra & Jo
WHERE: SOHS grounds, where the Summers have set up camp
WHEN: Around noon

Despite all the forces in the world telling her not to, Allegra had gone ahead and reopened Many Paths. Not that it was ever really closed as her daughter Willow had been a much braver soul than she had and kept it open. Today, however, had Allegra worrying. No matter what, her daughters usually checked in. Be it a text or a call or something misplaced in the old house, something always alerted Allegra to the fact that they were alive and happy and well. She'd seen Willow, of course, and was glad she was at least aware of the whereabouts of one daughter. It was usually the other way around. Venus was more easily tracked-down than her wilder child, but things had been strange as of late and it seemed to be affecting her family dynamic as well. At any rate, the fact remained that she was worried about her younger daughter. She'd hoped (and it was kind of a sad hope, at that, considering the circumstances...) that Venus had simply gotten too involved in helping out the Trent's family. She knew that at least two of Trent's siblings were of high school age and trapped inside the gym with all the other children. It was something that deeply worried Allegra and she hoped it could be remedied soon, for the sake of universal balance. The scales were heavily off-kilter and she, for one, was concerned about the eventual ramifications.

One could only hope things would settle down soon. )

Done. Just done.

WHO: Allegra & Willow
WHEN: Morning
WHERE: Allegra's home

Allegra hadn't even bothered with opening the store today. The world was off and she wasn't about to put any energy out into the world and expect anything good back. Nope. She was staying home and advising both her children to do the same. The house was warded and Allegra had spent most of the morning double-checking that all of them were still in place. Her house was possibly one of the safest places in town right about now. It certainly wasn't the high school, which was the source of all this negative energy floating about. Allegra was sure the world didn't like this one bit and was worrying about what the balancing would turn out to be. Because the world would have to balance itself out at some point.

Hopefully, it would be soon. Because the situation with the children was worrying Allegra. And Moll, for that matter. The kettle whistling interrupted Allegra's thoughts for a moment. "Did you want tea, hon?" she asked her daughter as she moved the kettle off the stove. One of Willow's friends had a daughter and a girlfriend (although Allegra was still fuzzy on that end) that was stuck in the high school. All yesterday, people had wanted some sort of magical fix to the issue. Unfortunately, Allegra was certain that much stronger black and blood witches had tried to fix the problem. Allegra was a grey witch and bound by certain rules. Nobody seemed to understand and respect that. People had also been trying to force Willow to read something about their children and loved ones. The hysteria had been understandable but extremely unwelcome. Allegra was not dealing with anymore of that. Not today.

pure as a wedding dress

Who: Allegra, Willow, and Venus (and a few familiars, I'd imagine)
When: Afternoon
Where: Bohinen house

It was a strange thing, but Venus had woken up that morning to realize she was nervous about trying on her mother's dress. It was easy enough to figure out why - she was already pretty attached to the idea of wearing it, and there was no guarantee they'd be able to make it work. Venus had told herself a million times that it'd work out one way or another, but she still had a lot of nervous energy as she parked in the driveway of her family home. She let Raphaela out of the passenger seat, and the familiar immediately took flight towards the roof. Apparently, she needed a break. "Some help you are," she mumbled, before heading up the walk and letting herself in.

"Anybody home?" she called, realizing she hadn't even checked the garage to see if her mom was in. They'd said Saturday afternoon, but not set an actual time. Without really waiting for an answer, Venus headed to the stairs in case her mother was already in the attic.

It ain't me you're looking for, babe.

WHO: August & Allegra
WHERE: Outside Many Paths
WHEN: Mid-morning

Unable to resist the urge to double-check on the temp, Allegra had made a quick run to the shop that morning. Just in case. She wasn't entirely sure if Willow was on this Saturday, and she wanted to make sure someone was taking care of it. As it was, every thing was in order and the store was not currently or seemed to be in any immediate danger of catching fire. She'd left detailed notes for the girl to follow, as well as four contact numbers in case she ran into any problems: her cellphone, her home phone, Willow's cellphone, and Venus' too. Because she was going to be spending the day with her youngest daughter, trying to see if her old wedding dress was salvageable for use. It was an exciting thought to Allegra, who was a serious sentimentalist. She never figured Willow or Venus would want her old wedding dress.

It's a case of mistaken identity. Oops. )

Are you ready to be the mother of the bride?

Who: Allegra and Venus
When: Lunch
Where: Many Paths

Venus had been a little mopey ever since Missy came back to claim her job, but she was trying to get over the hump. Mainly because she knew her sulking was starting to get on the nerves of those around her. She'd decided to leave the office for lunch, but she only went so far as Many Paths, stopping to get a salad along the way. There she sat in a chair by the counter, eating while flipping through one of the bridal magazines that had been waiting in the back of her car.

She sighed as she flipped a page, a wistful expression on her face. "I almost wish I was the sort of person who could justify going into debt for a dress I'll only wear once." Another sigh, and she forced herself to turn the page. "Huh, this one looks like a cupcake. I don't think that's the impression I want to make on my big day." She wasn't even sure if anyone was listening to her, but when had that ever stopped her? Her mother was around somewhere, Willow might be too. It wouldn't be the first time she talked to herself, and sure as hell wouldn't be the last.
