Just open your eyes Who: Allegra and Orion Where: Many Paths When: late afternoon, around 4:30pm
Another day at the office and Orion was becoming quite on edge. Even though they had no patients, he felt like he was stuck in one place, where before he had traveled the world, spreading wisdom like wildfire. He felt like he at least needed to be out and about, seeing as their family practice was not exactly off the ground yet. There was much still to be done and he would be very glad once the task was done. Having a purpose was very, very important to Orion, and being stuck in an office had him feeling like a caged animal. If nothing else, he figured a trip to one of the local mystical supply shops would do him good. After all, a lot of what he happened to do as a doctor relied both on modern medicine, and a good old dash of white magic. His brother was the more gifted healer, but that didn't stop Orion from wanting to do his part -- it was in his blood, after all. Holy magic was another thing altogether, but then, not everyone had angelic blood. Looking up when he'd reached the store he'd wanted after a quick walk from his office, Orion smiled faintly before opening the door.
The scents of various herbs and essences hit him and he breathed deep, enjoying the smell. Orion moved through the shop, his eyes roving over the shelves of ingredients and trinkets. What had he come in for again? He knew they were low on certain things, but he wasn't sure if he should just stock up everything. Odds are that would look a little strange, but Orion was beyond caring. Anyone who had a problem with him buying healing ingredients could obviously go play in traffic -- so he could heal them, of course! Coming down the side of an aisle, Orion carefully navigated around a floor display of various cauldrons -- did witches really still use those? Orion found he enjoyed making potions on the stove in a kettle, much like he made soup. It had the same effects, for the most part. Looking up at the top shelf, Orion's eyes lighted on a container of fresh rosemary.
Now, Orion was pretty tall for the average man, but even the top shelf was a stretch. He leaned up on tip-toes, stretching his hand up to grasp the package. Grabbing it, he went to settle back down onto his heels and -- lost his balance. His cheeks flamed immediately at how unwise an action that had been -- luckily his brother wasn't here to see it!! -- his momentum carrying him backward and into the cauldron display. Before he could stop it, he felt his foot sink into one of the cast-iron things. His eyes widened and he lifted his foot up to remove it from the thing but somehow it had gotten stuck, his foot holding fast. "Really? Come on." He only hoped no one was watching.
