Well, my only hint is a raging bi Enjoying Seattle so far? Don't get used to the date auctions, though. We don't usually have those.

[Locked to I. Hughes]

Ms. Hughes,

My name is Kyle West, I'm the Chief of Police in Seattle. Your incident report came across my desk today, the good thing about being the Chief of Police it means that anything Creation related I can keep an eye on.

I'd like to schedule a time to talk with you about it, and look things over in your apartment. Our cases need to be handled a bit more delicately than most, because there are things a few of less [...] knowledgeable cops might miss.

Let me know when you are available to talk, I'll make myself available at your convenience.

Public Post

[Public Post-This was also read shortly after his appointment, as well as printed just about...everywhere.]

FYI-Official Statement from the Seattle Police Department:

In recognition of the service provided to the citizens of Seattle during the latest emergency, the Seattle Police Department has officially lifted the All Points Bulletin on the so-called masked vigilantes. The Seattle Police Department does not advocate citizens taking the law into their own hands, as a matter of principle and public safety. However, the Department does recognize the effort put forth to protect all of the citizens of this great city.

Seattle has a long way to go towards rebuilding, this is the greatest city in the world, with hte potential to become even better. We, as the agency entrusted with protecting this city, owe these masked vigilantes a debt of gratitude, and an apology. It is your commitment and devotion to duty in patrolling the streets, investigating crimes, and supporting the operation and mission of this Department that have made our streets safer, assisted in keeping a state of emergency from turning into a national tragedy, and this Department and this city thank you.

In the future we, as a Department, will continue to do our jobs protecting this city and it's residents. However we recognize that there may, at times, be situations beyond our expertise and beyond our understanding at which point we will not hinder the involvement of those with a clearer understanding of the situation.

As we work together to make this city safe and build peace within our communities, I look forward to facing these challenges and opportunities with every citizen of this city. From here on out this city owes it to itself to foster a culture that values integrity, accountability, ethical decision-making and respect for civil and constitutional rights for every single resident of the metropolitan area. The days of dividing this city are over, the days of lawlessness and distrust are behind us.

Phone Call to G. Dailey

Backdated to Sunday afternoon

Ring Ring.

[When she picks up it's not his cell number on the caller ID and there is the sound of a very crowded jail behind him, people hollering, and Kyle telling people to shut the hell up. Some other cops he works with are chuckling a little]

[Never has he been so glad to have a smart phone]

I don't know where else to put this, so... Update:

1. Scientists have found a difference between the cannibalistic subjects and humans at a genetic level. As they are unaware of the existence of Creations, they believe the cannibalism and attacks to be symptoms of the genetic variance. This is a vast assumption and could prove problematic.

2. The subjects have a complete absence of higher brain function. The tissue itself shows signs of necrosis and hypoxia, meaning their brains are rotting and low on oxygen, though the cause is unknown. It is at a level that is far past that of recovery. They are essentially brain dead, and will remain so until termination.

3. The National Guard has quarantined several bite victims and is holding them for observation. Guards are watching for behavioral changes, but their tissues are also currently being tested for similarities to the cannibalistic subjects.

[Attached are several blurry photos of a lab notebook, handwriting neat but a little shaky, relatively unintelligible numbers and notes to anyone not studying genetics. The last one is a slightly clearer pic of 3 sets of DNA mapping, the top labeled "human", the second labeled "subject", the third (his own, done secretly) labeled "creation". The bottom two have a slight but obvious difference from the top.]

Detective West,

I have a question for you concerning the joke you told me yesterday. I have repeated it to an associate of mine who seems to believe that I included extraneous information. He believes that a joke should contain very few words, while I believe that setting up the peripheral world is important to the understanding of the humor. He thinks that certain aspects of the joke should be shorn, while I believe that all were vital to the impact of the humor.

As it is your joke in question, I thought that you could shed some insight on this matter. Thank you.

[Note left for K West]

[The note is left next to the box of cereal, while Kyle is at work.]

Thank you (and Charlie) for letting me stay. It's a been a week now, and if I stay around any longer I'll get too used to it I think I've imposed enough, even though you would never say as much or claim I was any kind of trouble to have around. I'm going to head home today, while you're working, but I owe you. If you ever need anything, if I can ever help with anything, let me know?
