[Pepper could say she had somewhat of a GPS gift when it came to Tony, but she's been thinking for a couple of days about certain matters, and well, it was time to get his input on the matter. She slipped into his workshop, and headed straight for the couch. Some things are best said while sitting.]

Tony? I have something I want to ask you.

[Of the punishments Laura could have received, this one was nothing worth mentioning. She had received far worse punishments for failing a mission or a training simulation in the past.]

I have been found guilty of murder. As punishment, I am to complete orders given by three people to assist them in chores. Those who respond will receive assistance, I have no preference of they should be.

[Not necessarily true, but she does not mind doing chores for strangers at this point in time.]

Hey, what's up guys?

[Rebecca looks a little tired, but she's hanging out in a pile of blankets on the couch with her laptop in her lap. She gives the camera a little salute, taking a pause to sip from her energy drink.]

I'm working on coding something kind of like an online encyclopedia for the intranet here. Kind of like a wiki, if you've heard of those before, on the internet. Basically, it's a way to have people freely edit and create pages of information that can be easily referenced. I was thinking it might come in helpful for people who haven't been here too long, if they've got questions. And since people come and go, having a hardcopy around might keep less information from falling in between the cracks of person to person conversation.

That's not the reason I'm talking to you guys, though.

[She scrunches her nose.] I need a cool name for it. Shoot me some suggestions, or we might just be stuck with Marina-Wiki. And that's kinda lame.

[Video//Action | Later afternoon] Mingle time!

[info]one_liner
[info]marinanova
So, the huge nasty bugs were fun and all, but they're old news. We need a little party time around here.

[Tony grins at his 'audience' as Led Zeppelin's Misty Mountain Hop plays in the background.] How about that old classic, beer pong. Open tournament starting in 30 at that karaoke club. We'll figure out the prizes if anyone's sober enough to remember the score. And punishments for losers, that could be fun.

Cheers. [And Tony toasts the people with his tumbler of scotch just before video disconnects. He won't be answering network replies because he's not interested in hearing any bullshit about what's beer pong or isn't this irresponsible blah blah boring. If you want to bitch or troll at him do it in person.]

((OOC: MINGLE TIME! That means feel free to make your own threads and tag around. Tony's thread is HERE so absolutely tag the hell out of him, but notifs are off otherwise. Network replies will be ignored because Tony's a brat, but characters can come to inquire as to WTF this game is all about if they're curious!

If you don't know the glory of beer pong, the link above should explain the rules! Feel free to play out games if you want or handwave results or invent new games or just have your character drinking and chatting. Characters who don't drink are welcome to play with water or soda or whatever, too!))

[The door to Tony’s bedroom swings open as careless as ever, the usual smirking grin on his face. Except that he’s not the only person emerging.]

I still say that third round was all me.

[Bucky follows after him, rolling his eyes with a soft snort.] You wish, Stark. I put more force into it. And perfect aim.

I never said you’re not good, Barnes. But you rely too much on precision. No art to it. And you lose points for whining about the position. [Tony rests an elbow on the doorframe, leaning heavily. His arc reactor is very visible through his thin white t-shirt, casting a glow in the corridor.]

Just good? [He’ll take some exception to that and walk until he’s face-to-face with Tony, pointing at his chest.] Three rounds and that’s all you can say? Round four in ten minutes and I’ll show you just how good I am. And this time I pick the position. My ass still hurts from the floor last time.

[Tony laughs and give Bucky a good smack on the shoulder.] Breakfast first, or I’ll be picking you off the floor in an hour. Again. [He actually looks further down the hall and -- oh, hi Rogers. He knows just how this looks, but honestly doesn’t care.] And we really should make it best out of five.

Breakfast Mr. Stark? You sure know how to treat a fella. [Bucky turns his head just a little to see Steve and gives a little smile in hello before turning right back to Tony.] After last night you owe me sausage and eggs. The big link kind.

Day 183 > Action; Closed to Avengers House, evening

[info]ms_pepperpotts
[info]marinanova
[Pepper had quickly organized a few points of discussion, with a little help from Jane, all meant to manage the Avengers into something of a more cohesive unit, and also set down a few rules of coexistence. Bruce and Steve were easy enough to round up, and so was Thor, but Tony was difficult. Pepper had racked her brains for something, anything to lure him out of his workshop. Until inspiration struck, and she went looking for a string and an extra lacy pair of clean panties. Hey, she was up against a time limit here. She'll make it up to Tony afterwards. Pepper had a few things on her mind, like toilets, boundaries, and shopping, and she knew that it would be easier if things were quickly discussed, or else it would be dragged out for hours.]

Awesome punishments they give around here. Kidnap and dismantle a robot for my own purposes -- entirely not evil, I assure you -- get sentenced to hard labor of creating three pieces of wall art. Never painted before, to be entirely honest, but luckily I'm good at everything.

[On the video feed are three canvases set up in the Education Center. One looks like he just tossed colors at the canvas (which is entirely accurate). The second... well. Sorry Steve, he literally couldn't resist. And the third is blank.]

Anyone want a caricature done? I'm definitely getting the hang of this. I can't promise it'll be flattering, or look anything like you, but I can promise I'll do a horrible French accent. I'm talking cringe-worthy, here. Takers?

Day 182 - Morning Greeting

[info]ai_veridical
[info]marinanova
Welcome back to my lovely, uninterrupted vocal representation. It's Day 182. Did you have fun with all your new playmates? You might notice they're gone again. They just weren't all fully processed, and we do pride ourselves on thorough processing. They did leave quite the mess, so if you help the cleaning efforts today, you will receive double the normal amount of rehabilitation points for such a mundane act.

I am sure you have all sorts of inane questions about glitches and premature visitation. I simply can not wait.

The following inmate has been found guilty of breaking facility rules and full details of his punishment is being transmitted to his device.

Tony Stark: Bot Damage

[No static today, and all previous glitches have been attended, but residents may find themselves temporarily trapped at times. It may be in a restaurant, store, entertainment location, or in their own apartments. Metal bars (more symbolic than anything) will come down over the doors and windows. For those with powers which would normally pass right through such obstacles or smash through them, they will find there is shielding. At times this is impenetrable. Other times with enough force or disruption it may collapse prematurely. This will last no longer than an hour at any given time. It is intermittent and while it could occur anywhere, it won't occur everywhere.]

(OOC: No 4th Wall posts past this point. Journals will be removed soon.)

[Pepper may be wearing orange, which is clashing horribly with her hair, but she's done the best she can with what she has. She's composed, hiding any sort of turmoil underneath the unruffled exterior.]

Good afternoon. I appear to have been taken to this place which I'm told is a prison under an ocean? I'm sure this is all a big misunderstanding and frankly I'm still not sure I should believe what I'm told.

[a tight smile, not reaching her eyes]

A few things to ask while I have your attention. Would anyone be familiar with Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, or Clint Barton? I'm particularly interested in Tony Stark's whereabouts, if he's here. And finally, I would like confirmation on what I heard in that oh so informative 'welcome message' and if anyone at all has up to date information?

[Glitchy day, isn't it? How about this almost-snowstorm in the late-spring weather? Lovely.]

[What is actually, un-sarcastically lovely is a shot at getting one of the bots taken down while the glitching's providing a nice potential cover. Tony had to move up his plan a few days but the opportunity isn't one he can pass up, even if the shields don't seem to be down. He planned for that little contingency anyway. Particle physics is useful stuff.]

[It's outside the processing plant where he set up, trying to arrange for a bot fresh off the line, power source at full. He spots a likely candidate bopping on out and pausing to look at the small pile of litter someone left right in its path. From the around the corner, Tony smiles and hits the button, and there's a sharp zapping sound. Gotcha.]

[Voice | Encrypted to all Avengers]

Took down one of the patrol bots. Someone wanna help me with this thing? I have a cart and a cover but it's more of a two person job.

((OOC: Feel free to run into Tony just before he strikes -- so long as your character doesn't stop him -- or as he's searching the disabled bot and loading it up. Bot-napping was done with mod permission, no actual sentinels were harmed in the production of this post.))

[The headgear was something else. He’d never seen anything like it, but at least it reminded him enough of headphones for the radio transmitter and the little buttons on the side gave enough clues for him to figure them out. He doesn’t know what “video” means, so he doesn’t use it.]

Fancy digs here, got to admit. But the clothes could use some work. Ain’t that many people who can pull off orange. Whatever happened to the good ol’ stripes?

[The tone is slightly playful, but Bucky is tired, stressed, and was expecting a different kind of place when he imagined going to hell. That front isn’t going to last too long.] If hell is a joint like this, I can guess why so many people don’t mind paying it a visit. So what’s the news? Be great to know if I can get out on good behavior. Or should I just start with the name, rank, and serial number?

[the video shows Jane, dressed in a tshirt, jeans, and a flannel shirt, since she's discovered the clothing store. She's glad to get rid of the orange jumpsuit. But her fashion isn't the thing on display today. She's perched on a table, papers strewn around, and a notebook in her lap]

Okay, so I got my notebook. It's the one I had at home, which brings up a few questions, but that's not what this is for, not completely. Reid, you said you wanted to look at some of my research? Oh! Touma Hashiba. When would be a good time to meet to discuss your notes?

[she pauses for a moment, then hurries on, as if something just occurred to her]

Oh! Question. Anyone have tips on living with others of the opposite gender? I've managed to land myself in a frat house, with all the connotations thereof. Back home I only had Darcy, and she was a very good roommate.

[Tony chose the middle of Sector 1, since that seems heavily patrolled. He's set up a little contraption to which he's liberally applying socket wrenches and tiny screwdrivers. A field trip, if you will, getting some fresh air while he works.]

[And it just so happens, that occasionally something will pop out of the device. A laser beam, a tiny piece of what looks like scrap -- it's moving too fast to really tell. Wouldn't you know it, the frequency of these occurrences is significantly higher when one of the patrolling bots is in the line of fire. Totally incidental, he assures you.]

[And to make it look incidental, he also fires off some rounds at other random times. The ones that are not headed directly for a bot are basically the equivalent of a nerf dart, or a laser pointer, however. He's looking for the appearance of randomness, not to hurt people.]

[Anyone walking by, I hope you like loud music. Oh, and random projectiles.]

((OOC: First thread is closed to Thor and Jane and takes place earlier in the day! Feel free to get hit with a harmless object or laser beam, but the serious stuff is ONLY fired at bots.))

[ In retrospect, Dirk had been pretty rash in that attempt. If it's as PM says and how long he spends here has no bearing on the amount of time that passes back home, he can afford to take his time. He really doesn't want to and it pisses him off just how little say he has over what's going on here, but he has to gather more information. It will all work out in the end.

And in the meantime... ]

"You are restricted to your home for three days. Robots will bring you a food allotment. You may entertain visitors and use the network, but you'll be unable to leave." Um... Is this supposed to be punishment? I don't get it. Where's the psychological distress? The grueling physical labor? You're relegating me to three days of my exact living arrangement before you kidnapped me, only in a nicer apartment with food provided at no cost.

Might as well dress those bots up as sexy French maids, because I'm living it up over here.

[A video feed flickers on and for a moment, all you can see is the pavement. Not too long after that, though, there's some jostling, like someone's turning it over in their hands, and--a face! A stern and not so happy face.]

I'm starting to think I'm not the "settling" kind of guy. [Waking up almost seventy years later had been a bummer and now he was stuck in some underwater prison. When will the world give Steve Rogers a break?]

Anybody else wanna take a guess at what's inside those doors? [He turns the video to that heavily guarded building in Sector 0. The warden facility.] A lot of restricted areas in this sector.

[But he makes no move to head toward the building. He's actually some distance away, seated on a bench in that awful orange jumpsuit and not attracting any robot attention.]

So. [A handsome man in a precise goatee appears on the video, perfectly calm -- and in fact, quite bored -- munching on some kind of crunchy snack as he speaks. He's in the basement of one of the larger buildings, pieces of electronics strewn about around him.] This sucks.

[He'd have to make do with what he could pilfer from the computer lab and so-called "electronics" store, slim pickings though they are. It's a damn good thing he's Tony Stark, or he'd be in real trouble.]

[He digs for more of whatever he’s eating -- salted cashews, as it turns out -- his bag crumpling loudly in the mic.]
Did anyone else notice the lack of 7-11 around here? If we’re going to be locked up for eternity I’m definitely going to need a Slurpee. Not that the prison bowling alley isn’t a nice touch.

((OOC: He's not in plain sight, but if you want to stumble upon him for [action] just let me know and we'll work something out!))
