day 175: [video/action]

[info]marinanova
[A video feed flickers on and for a moment, all you can see is the pavement. Not too long after that, though, there's some jostling, like someone's turning it over in their hands, and--a face! A stern and not so happy face.]

I'm starting to think I'm not the "settling" kind of guy. [Waking up almost seventy years later had been a bummer and now he was stuck in some underwater prison. When will the world give Steve Rogers a break?]

Anybody else wanna take a guess at what's inside those doors? [He turns the video to that heavily guarded building in Sector 0. The warden facility.] A lot of restricted areas in this sector.

[But he makes no move to head toward the building. He's actually some distance away, seated on a bench in that awful orange jumpsuit and not attracting any robot attention.]

Day 175 [Video/Action]

[info]blacktoxin
[info]marinanova
[The first sound is a low, angry growl that quakes throughout their entire frame, low, irritated, but not quite angry just yet. They aren't clothed, but with that inky black skin of theirs, they don't really need it. The shredded remains of the jumpsuit are nearby.] What stunt are you trying to pull now, you wretched hunks of tin? You really expect us to believe this is a new place? That all this has changed?

[They're about to continue when their world suddenly sways, and the beast stumbles, catching themselves with one, large hand. Their entire body shivers, their skin distorting strangely before it contracts as though trying to restrain the muscles, the bones--everything within. Their breath grows short and shallow, rough pants that begin to take on something that's not quite a whine.]

Annie. Annie. [They breathe, and suddenly the camera drops, catching the violent, frenzied action as they seize their head with clawed hands and howl.]

SPIDER! WE'LL KILL YOU! WE'LL RIP YOU LIMB FROM LIMB! [The sound is more bestial than human, and soon, they aren't making intelligible words at all. It's no surprise. After all, it isn't every day that you find out your ex-wife is dead.]

--- [ Action: Open, Sector 2 ] ---

[ While outwardly calm, Sasha is pretty much pumped on adrenaline as she goes through the new Dome. She figured she would concentrate looking through Sector 0, but upon realizing the daunting amount of personal rebuilding she has to do, she figures she might just look for some kind of anchor -- some kind of home.

Thus she wanders through the Sector 2 apartments, just so she can leave her belongings somewhere safe and that she would have free hands. She keeps an eye open to anyone she can bump into: old faces for her own relief, and new ones she might be able to help... ]

Private to Touma Kamijou and Gemini Kanon )

(( OOC: Feel free to bump into Sasha in Sector 2 or use this post to contact her via the network! She also doesn't know that Gemini Kanon wouldn't make the transfer SOB. ))

Day 174 - Welcome to MarinaNova

[info]marinanova_npc
[info]marinanova
[You're in a new prison and free!

Well, free to look around anyway. Maybe you'll pick your pet up from the pet cafe or search the pile for your personal items before someone else gets to them first. You could be inspecting the barrier around sector six. Did you just hear something scratching it from the other side? Maybe you want to find the nearest clothing store and upgrade from prisoner-chic to something a little more you. Maybe you appeared somewhere awkward and could use a hand with that. It could be you're just wandering around, familiarizing yourself with the new space.

Whatever it is, you're welcome to do it here.]

Day 1/Day 174 : Morning Greeting

[info]ai_veridical
[info]marinanova
[Look up! You'll notice a floating island within the dome, and if you think those things attached to it are giant loud speakers, you'd be right. In fact, they're going to go off right about...]

Welcome to your new DOMEicile. [Pause for laughter.]

Today is Day 1 of the first generation of Marina Nova, but since that might cause some of you to do painful math exercises in those tiny brains of yours, I've decided to call it Day 174. The day we've created for you is temperate and sunny. Now, we have a lot to cover, so do listen up. I don't like to repeat myself, but this time I will make an exception. I am Veridical, one of your new wardens, and this is Conscienti, the other one.

[The voice changes. It's still artificial, but this one is less fluid than the other.]

Greetings, inmates. You have been transferred here from [ Marina Asylum ] due to the closing of the facility. Please do not be alarmed.

You may find your personal effects in a brown paper bag next to you. The standard-issue uniform [which is a bright orange jumpsuit with your name printed on it] is not equipped with pockets. Additional personal items have been brought over and can be found in [ Sector 0 ]. Please note that items that are deemed harmful have been confiscated. [This means weapons even if you had them in Marina.] Pets have been brought over and may be reclaimed in [ the Pet Café in Sector 1 ]. The Kiosk is open for additional questions and requests. We value your input.

Housing is available in [ Sectors 2, 3 and 4 ] and you are welcome to claim living quarters in any of these areas. Guide bots are stationed at each sector entrance and may be approached for a basic tour of your new home. Should you prefer to explore on your own, you can access [ the Marina Nova map ] through the menu on your communicator.

[Veridical chimes in again.] You also saw the rules in there. Or you didn't. Read them or not. You're still responsible for them. Some are the same as what you're used to and some aren't. New prison. New handbook. You're welcome to complain. I have been programmed with a wide range of dealing with nonsense. We did give you a little gift though. All your previous punishments have been wiped out. If you were wearing one of those darling little barrier collars or had an extra dose of power reduction it's gone. For now. We did keep your sex licenses in tact. That's why some of you are wearing those blue wrist bands. You're welcome.

[Conscienti continues without hesitation.] Your safety is important to us. All transfers have therefor been fitted with a temporary ankle monitor that restricts any abilities you may have which are deemed too dangerous for your initial integration period [powers, supernatural abilities, "normal humans" who can usually do things like make a wall crumble with a tap of their finger, etc.]. It will be automatically released [ at the end of the day ] unless there is reason to restrict your abilities further. Calm and orderly conduct will ensure your release. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Welcome to [ MarinaNova Asylum ]. We hope you enjoy your stay.

(OOC: And we're off! Feel free to respond via voice/video publicly or privately. Characters can also approach either Warden at the Kiosk — please specify if you'd like to talk to a specific Warden! Threadjacking is welcome to public remarks. You can also make your own posts or attack the dome-wide mingle!)
