[ it's late, but matt donovan's had one hell of a week and has fallen behind on keeping his corner of the apartment stocked with essentials -- namely toothpaste and shampoo, and he wasn't about to crawl into bed with greasy hair and unbrushed teeth when solving this problem was as simple as a walk down to one of the free-for-all stores. being able to just grab things and go was still a little surreal to him, being that he's spent the majority of his short existence working his ass off to provide for himself, nevermind his mother and sister, when the latter was still alive and the former were still around. he only missed one of the two.

life in prison has become so unnaturally comfortable that he doesn't think about any of the dangers that could be lurking in the dark, doesn't think to wander out alaric-style with a handcrafted stake or two hidden in his sleeves, to keep an eye out for something that could be waiting for someone unsuspecting to walk on by. ]

[When the feed clicks on it shows Bonnie sitting down at a table, a steaming cup of coffee in front of her. There's also a few pastries on a plate next to it.]

Today marks my first month here. I don't think it's something you particularly celebrate but if I had to celebrate anything, it would be the friends I have in this place. Both the ones from home and the people I've befriended in prison. I think that deserves some acknowledgment so if anyone wants to talk about the good things, come down to the bean crushers coffee place. I'll be there for the afternoon.

That's about it.

Thanks.
