Hey, just because I'm a murderer doesn't mean I have to go in an asylum. Don't killers go in jails? And don't they not get sci-fi ear visor things?

How strong did you say this glass was again?

[It looks like someone's been busy adjusting to the dome--yes, adjusting, not fretting or complaining in the slightest. As a matter of fact, Joe looks pleased as punch, settled in at a window-side table at the Bakery; a notebook and pens are sitting in front of him, a camcorder beside them, and a cup of coffee and small plate of baklava within easy reach. He beams at the camera.]

I must say, I am quite impressed! This is by far the most unique and phenomenal prison facilities I've ever come across--perhaps even one of the most unique cities, at that! Our reasons for being here are rather unpleasant business, of course--but that aside, Veridical and Conscienti, you are truly astounding hosts.

[Yes, he's just going to gloss riiiiiiight over the whole "arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment" thing. That's not nearly as important as how interesting this place is. And yes, unlike some newcomers, he's lurked for a bit on the network too, not just scrambled around in a blind frantic panic.]

Now, then! I'm given to understand that this facility is currently undergoing some sort of technical difficulties. There's no way to tell if this will simply be a lovely little vacation, then, or a permanent relocation. Be that as it may, I'd like to make the best of my time here for the moment: my name is Dr. Joseph Morbius, and it is a positive pleasure to meet you all. Such a fascinating facility can't help but house fascinating residents, and I would be delighted to learn more about each and every one of you.

Would anybody be so kind as to tell me a little about themselves? Surely there's an intriguing life story that unfolded before your arrival in MarinaNova--and your time here must be an adventure in and of itself!

((OOC: Have an original character, built within the Unknown Armies tabletop system. His "thing" is learning all about people and events--he's all set for story time, and would be happy to all but interview anyone who's willing to talk to him. Feel free to do action too, if you'd prefer.))

[One Elena is wandering the streets, wearing street clothes and holding her communicator in her hands, varying between looking at it and the buildings around her. Her expression hovers between annoyance and intent focus. Occasionally she calls out a greeting, pauses to wait for the answer or lack thereof, and then keeps moving without seeming too troubled by the silence.]

[OOC: This Elena was vamped around the second season finish.]

...I can't say that I feel especially at rest, in this place. It seems to do its best to make you feel at ease, but with its flaunts of instability, it really feels like something worse could happen just as easily. The climate control could fail, or worse, the oxygen supply, and then we'd all die in darkness, deep where no one would know that we were ever gone in the first place.

[GUESS WHO IS A BIG RAY OF SUNSHINE AS USUAL]

The thought should scare me a little more... but I guess I don't really see the point in being afraid, anymore.

[She's confused....and lost, and what's happened to everything?? This place seems similar to before...and then not at all. OTL This means...it's important that she put all the training and skills she's been taught so far to good use! She's tried to ask a couple people about the condition of their hearts as well as her location but most of them have hurried off, been too busy, or cast her suspicious glances....

Why does this always happen...

EITHER WAY! Kobto Hanato never gives up! And that's why she's formulated a different course of action. Something straight... to the point, un-suspicious, and un-threatening.

So right in the center of sector one beneath a street light is a cute girl with a hat, sitting within a cardboard box. It's a little uncomfortable, so she's gathered a couple of loose papers to sit around her while inside too. Across the front of the box in large bold writing it reads...]

LOST

[There. Ioryogi-san will be able to find her if he's here and she wont have to cause a disturbance at all! All that critical thinking... she's definitely getting better at this being normal thing!]

[In the residential area of Sector 4, there is a girl crying.

Loudly.]

U-U-UWAAAAAA!

[First, she woke up in an unfamiliar place. Then, she noticed the bright orange jumpsuit she's wearing. Then, the blue thingy on her head, and the information scrolling by, and. And. Crimes? Loitering? Trespassing? Littering?! But -- But she --

Poor Yuiko doesn't know what to do. She's confused, and lost, and she knows she shouldn't be crying like this, she's twelve years old, but... She just... She can't help it. The more she tried not to cry, and the more she tries to stop herself, the harder she sobs.]

[Tieria had several books in his bag as he walked back towards the convenience store. The frame hadn't been working after he'd found it, but he found that, after a quick trip and test in the computer lab, that all the pictures were still intact. So, with that in mind, he was on his way from the library to go pick up a new frame. He wasn't overly upset. In fact, he was pretty relieved about it. The frame itself wasn't the important part. The pictures were, and those were fine, so he would deal with getting a new one.]

You say prison? This place ain't nothing like a real one.

Any of you complaining about being holed up in this joint can come take it up with me. Tell me all about your woes and I'll cut your damn heads clean off. Spare you the life sentence in a goddamn resort. You're all lucky to be fed, you pigs, yet you can all find something to yap about.

What this place needs is a little life. Where's all the chaos? The fun?

Come on. [He barks with laughter.] There's gotta be something of worth around here.

... Let it just be said that the General barking up trees for fights just now? Not a shining example of the Black Order as a whole. Not that the others are much of anything either...

So ah, yeah. Just disregard him. He just wants to chase carriages.

[Camera shifts, documenting this Tyki's eye roll. He's hanging out by the bakery, of all places, in sector two. Chugging on a cigarette with a loaf of bread in his lap, dark jacket over his shoulders.]

And don't tell him I said this. I'd rather not die tonight myself, either.

Lotto. What do you want to do about this? [Yeah, he's asking you. Kindly. Your lunatic General.]

[Mr. Face doesn't like being messed with. He's already had to put up with exploding and having chairs tossed at his face, thank you very much. So when he arrives in this unknown location he's a little more than upset and with a deep groan he stumbles off into the darkness where he is most comfortable.

Somewhere in the parks, any one of them, really, is where you might stumble upon this interesting creature. But beware. He may look brainless and slow, but if he spots you, well--

--Let's just say that those massive bloody claws on the ends of his arms aren't for hugging.]

((OOC: Mr. Face, as he's so affectionately named in Amnesia fandom, is basically a discombobulated human which serves the main antagonist in the series. While he doesn't have his master here, he still acts out towards humans and other things he's unfamiliar with. If you wish to interact with him, then feel free to refer to this list for more information.))
