[At the appointed time at the makeshift DF HQ, a ballot box appears. Enter a curtained off area for privacy and members are free to read up on the two candidates for Defense Force leader, Kitty Pryde (the elder) and Buffy Summers, as well as complete a paper ballot to vote for one candidate.]

((OOC: OTL apologies forever for my late!fail. Here's how this will work: There are two voting threads on this post, one for each candidate. Their thread will contain a link to their self-nomination which explains their qualifications and goals for the DF. To vote, simply leave a comment beneath the name of the person your character is ICly voting for. You must comment while logged in as a DF member. It can be a blank comment, a "+1", your character can write a little "go [my candidate]!" note on there, whatever. Each member gets only one vote, of course. :)
ICly the votes are anonymous, but OOCly your character's vote needs to be logged in so we can monitor who votes.
Voting is open through next Sunday night, August 12, EST.
Feel free to have [action] conversations among characters on this post (as long as it's NOT on the voting threads), but notifs are off for me so if you want a tag from Lacus best to mention her specifically or ping me on her contact post.))
