Just a Little Business

Who: Cameron and Missy
When: Noon
Where: Cafe in Ann Arbor

After his demonstration the previous day and several little outbursts, Cameron had come to the decision that he definitely didn't have enough people hired. But that wasn't what was bothering him at the moment, he'd get that taken care of soon enough and had a few numbers that were going to come in very handy for said purpose. Most important to him was getting someone, or several someones, to watch out for Amanda. She'd not be all that happy if she found out about them but they weren't going to tell her. Different sort of business right now, he reminded himself as he settled at the outdoor table and ordered a coffee while he waited.

It wasn't every day that he had the chance to talk with the city's best news reporter. This could do wonders for everything if it went well.

Your reputation will be sure to improve. )

We'll Never Fade Away

Who: Cameron, anyone who might be gather to listen to him speak or talk to him after (you know you want to)
When: Around 5:00 p.m.
Where: In front of Town Hall

It was very carefully set up; from various people placed in the crowd to keep things under control and going the right way to "impromptu" flyers stuck up all over Scarlet Oak. Everything that Cameron did was set up that way, results of having been raised by the Calverts and groomed to take over the family business eventually. With Amanda naturally, couldn't be a Calvert without a Blake. Even if this time around she'll have my last name too. No, not thinking about that. Gotta concentrate. Anyhow, carefully set up, Cameron liked to think about all of this before he stepped up to the spotlight. He'd put word out to hunters for reasons extending past just scouring supernaturals. Someone needed to be out there in the crowd to make sure that someone didn't freak out and try to kill him. Which would just prove my point if they did. He was also aware of that. He hadn't explained that part to Amanda, however. Some things were better left unsaid.

Taking a long drink of water, Cameron smiled at the people who had come with him. "Oh don't look so nervous, we're not doing anything illegal. Freedom to assemble, freedom to speak... you all know these things. Relax." He waited until the tension eased a little before walking out to stand on the steps of the town hall. There was no stand because there weren't any notes. He didn't need any of those for something like this. This was something he actually believed in and there was really no preparing past thinking it all out. His father'd never approve of a lack of notes.

I'm not a witch, a were, a psychic, an elemental... )

Innocence is out of style

Who: Cameron and Trigger
When: Closer to eleven a.m.
Where: Amanda and Cam's house

Cameron hadn't been satisfied with how the supernatural rights movement was going since it begun, with far too many of them appearing and getting what they wanted while not enough humans stood up and pointed out that they weren't worthy of it. Why should a vampire have a special identification card to make their undead life easier? They lived off of blood and he hadn't believed for one second that they liked using blood banks as much as taking from the source. To say nothing of the were's that turned into killing machines, the witches who used other people's blood to get what they wanted, the psychics who could read minds or move things they hadn't the strength to... no, there was nothing about it that was acceptable and it'd just gotten worse when the demons came.

Which Cameron was sure wouldn't have happened if the rest of the supernatural freaks had just kept themselves in the closet where they belonged. )
