DATE: Sunday, July 5, 2009.
WEATHER: Cloudy and overcast, light rain in the afternoon.
EVENTS: There was a tie at the battle of the bands last night, with Revolution 9 and Echoes in Flames sharing the winning honors. They will both have opening slots at the benefit concert on the 8th!
The festivities for the 4th all went without a trace of demonic activity, and this more than anything has people finally breathing a sigh of relief. Perhaps it's all over? That isn't to say that nothing notable happened last night... there
was a scandal! Turns out the son of a local reverend is a bit of a perv! He was found with his pants down and a dog near by. Witnesses say he claimed he was with a girl but couldn't describe her to anyone. He was dragged very forcibly away by his father, muttering about the Lord and his treatment of bestiality. Ouch.
Most local news is back to being dedicated to the upcoming full moon (on the 7th). Bram Moriarty is still offering free cages, and heavy advertising has started for local organizations offering safe lock-ups for bitten weres.
Today in Scarlet Oak is the grand opening of a new magic shop, Aeaea. Fliers and newspaper
advertisments have been going up all over Ann Arbor and Scarlet Oak.
