Who: Otter and Piper
Where: Those stands at the Liberty Inn
When: Afternoon
Otter hadn't particularly wanted the day off but his mother had been oddly persistent. He'd finally managed to convince her to at least let him have the morning shift with the thought that maybe he could keep going come noon. Hadn't worked too well when she'd shown up and shooed him outside. "And make
sure that you do something fun. The garden's always there, fourth of July only comes once a year," she called after him, waving before disappearing back into the shop. It was busy today thanks to people actually feeling safe enough to be out and about. He hated going away when he could actually be useful, but he stuffed his hands into his pockets and shuffled along the streets, feeling oddly out of place with all the people.
The general flow he went along with dropped the teen off in the mess that was the Liberty Inn and all of the booths people'd set up. The bazaar that was always there, people showing off all sorts of things. Well maybe he could find a good potted plant if he looked around for long enough.
Wish Sitala was here. But his spirit guide had flitted off and up a tree when Otter started wandering through Scarlet Oak proper, claiming that she wanted a nap and not to be bothered by a whole bunch of kids with sticky hands. Speaking of sticky hands... stopping by a vendor that had a glass case filled with the fluffy stuff, Otter shelled out a few bucks for a bag of cotton candy and started munching on it as he wandered the stands in an attempt to find something interesting to take home.
