TIME UPDATE

WEATHER: Things are clearing up and the sunshine is peaking out through the clouds! Temperatures around 80°.
EVENTS: City Hall was vandalized last night, and though the images spray-painted on the property do seem to have a anti-supernatural feel to it, police do not feel the incident is much more than a couple of kids acting out. Video surveillance shows two young women of questionable age, though there were not very clear shots of their faces.
The big news today is - yet again - bad news. Two female college students, Monica Warner and Kitty McLain, have been reported missing. Ms. Warner was out at a club with friends on Sunday night and disappeared, and Ms. McLain also has not been seen since Sunday. Friends and family are certain the girls did not know each other, and it does not seem likely that either would have up and left of their own accord. Police are organizing a ground search for the entire Scarlet Oak area. Those with possible information regarding the two are urged to call the local authorities.
A writer in the local newspaper talks of Scarlet Oak's steadily climbing crime rate, and many are starting to make demands that the township does something about it! Scarlet Oak has always been a safe community, and this is getting ridiculous!
It's also announced that vampire-attack victim Vol Callahan's viewing will be Thursday, from 4-8 PM, at Forsythe and Family. The funeral will be on Friday at 1 PM.
Finally, in the third week of May certain states - including Michigan - started offering the chance to vampires to sign up for special driver's licenses/state ID. These licenses look like any driver's license, except there is a special stamp marking them as a vampire, and a 'D.O.T.' field under the D.O.B. The DOT is, of course, 'date of turning'. In some cases this is rounded off to a decade or time period, but the point is it lets someone know just how long they've been a vampire (which is handy for those who were turned at a young age, and have trouble convincing humans they are technically adults). Well the wait is over, and these licenses will finally be showing up in mailboxes starting today! Rumor is those medical alert bracelets for weres are coming soon, too.
