After an... interesting time at the park Reggie had actually decided to do some grocery shopping. Well, correction; A LOT of grocery shopping. Her fridge was practically bare save for a half-empty carton of milk and take out from four nights ago that was surely going bad. How she'd let herself get so low on food was anyone's guess. She could have sworn that damn fridge had been stock-piled with enough to last for quite a long time. Had she really eaten that much? If so, it was a good thing she hadn't put on any significant weight. God bless her freaky physiology.

Pushing a basket already filled with essential products she exhaled tiredly. She really did hate grocery shopping. And for some reason it seemed like everyone was out restocking their food supplies. Figures. That seemed to be how her luck went these days. Maneuvering her basket past a trio of gossiping housewives who seemed to think the entire aisle belonged to them she grimaced visibly. 'This place is so goddamn crowded...' Didn't these people have jobs or whatever to get to? This was ridiculous...

Once she was past a few more clusters of people she finally felt like she was able to breathe. It was times like this she wished she could pick up a chainsaw and- *BANG!* Her thoughts were interrupted instantly when she felt her basket collide into something. Blinking, she looked up to see that the something was someone else's basket. Oh crap. She shut her eyes again and let out a long, drawn out sigh.

"Sorry about that. Guess my mind was elsewhere..." She said apologetically, eyes still shut as if she were afraid to open them and face what was probably a furious soccer mom. 'FML...'

Though she had been out of the psychiatric hospital for over a month, Caelia still found that there were things she needed that she did not have. Clothes, for instance, were a problem. She'd never had many of them back at the temple, and she certainly hadn't in the hospital, and so it was strange for her to have to shop for clothes. Already she owned more than she ever had at any one point in her past, and yet she found that the weather in Scarlet Oak was different enough from the places she'd been in Europe that she wasn't entirely prepared.

The only solution to her current dilemma was to go shopping, as much as she disliked the idea. Shopping was more frustrating than not - though at least it wasn't the money that she was worried about - and the risk of crowds was greater than she was comfortable with. Which was why she went on a weekday, when, she had learned, most people would likely be at work rather than shopping leisurely, especially in the slightly higher-end stores she intended to frequent.

Which explained why she was in the dressing room of one of said stores, though not why she had been in there long past when she'd tried on everything she'd taken in with her. Truthfully, she was avoiding the oversolicitous salespeople and trying to push down the anxiety she was feeling. It didn't help that Celeste wasn't with her, either. So Caelia sat on the too small bench, legs visible in the gap beneath the door, and took deep breaths.

Where: Random 24-hour diner
When: 10pm

The break from Scarlet Oak with Charlene was well needed, though now that she was back? That meant she was back to work. The paramedic stint was a good distraction from reality, especially when she had to remind herself not to go back to her family's place and go back to Alanna's instead. It was great to see her chippy friend was doing alright... minus the fact she had a massive cat in tow. Hey, the more the merrier. It reminded Roxy that she and her pals needed to meet up for some coffee in the next couple of days to catch up. Oh, and Kat was invited, too. Couldn't forget her kid sister by any means.

Roxy had just gotten off her shift and found herself completely famished. The hell is even opened this late?! She sighed while zooming on down the road in her Corvette, eventually catching sight of a diner on the corner that still had the lights on. "Score!" With a little grin on her face, she whipped around the corner and pulled on up to the parking lot, almost mowing down someone in the process. Aggressive driver? Oh yeah. Even more so when she was hungry. A classic order of fish and chips was on her mind and no one was going to get in her way for that. Including the random fucker who was- Is he putting up a thing on the telephone post? Wow, I thought only homeless bums and illegal immigrants in Santa Monica did that...

Killing the engine and turning off her blaring sound system, the petite, pink-haired girl bounced on out from her car, grabbing her bag to sling over her shoulder. "Sorry!" Roxy called out to him. "Totally didn't see you there at all. My bad!" Then the penguin-girl stopped for a second to look the guy over again. For some reason, he looked familiar. Like, way too familiar for Roxy's comfort.

Who: Evelyn and Ty
Where: Ty’s place
When: around 5pm

It was hot as hell outside, so Evelyn kept the windows closed and the air conditioning running as she drove to Scarlet Oak. The rental car was nice enough - nothing special, but plenty to hold her over while she was visiting her brother and sister. However long that might be.

When she glanced at the GPS, it let her know that she was about ten minutes out from her brother’s address, so she took out her cell phone to call him like she’d promised. It had been impossible to tell from his text message whether he was mad or just surprised, though she figured that if Amina was staying with him, one more sister hanging around for a while wouldn’t interfere too badly with his undercover work. Whatever he was working on; he hadn’t given her any specifics yet. She supposed she’d get answers to all that soon enough.

Evelyn pressed one to speed dial Ty and then hit send, keeping her eyes on the road as she held the phone to her ear and waited for Ty to pick up.

Kieron had been well aware that he’d made an awful impression on Jezebelle the last time they met. He got too comfortable too quick, and what he thought might get a vampire interested in using his services again, really had only proved to make things uncomfortable between the two of them. When he’d texted her to meet at the church, he didn’t know what he could say to make her come around, but he’d figure it out eventually, hold off on being too friendly until she felt like she could trust him. When he arrived, he kept himself quiet and looked around the walls of the church to see if he could locate Jezebelle. One thing he also kept watch for was Nikita. He was sure that the first thing she heard about Kieron probably made her want to rip his head off.

EVENTS: With yesterday's news still abuzz, local news has already started to tone down their reports of the latest round of demonic activity and the damage it caused. There is no 'new' news today, mostly just reports of other areas. Slow news day is slow. Ho-hum!
