When it's nine in the afternoon
Who: Evan Forsythe and Alex Mingan
Where: Scarlet Oak Community Park
When: Afternoonish
What: New friends, mebbe? Thanks scene lotto!
One could say it was perfect beach weather - and it was - but having seen what the water-based demons did to their victims, Evan wasn't quite ready to head out to the beach just yet. (The guy who'd been drowned in his toilet? Yeaaaaaah, no. Not doing it.) He didn't have to be at the funeral parlor until a bit later in the day, so Evan decided to enjoy what free time he had, since he'd gotten up around noon, rather early when you considered what time he'd gone to bed the night before.
So, to the park it was. He found a nice little spot right out in the sun, prescription sunglasses perched at the end of his nose as he read his book. It was hard for Evan not to read something written by Lewis Black, after all. He hadn't bothered grabbing a blanket or anything to sit on, though he did remember a bottle of water and the remnants of his iced coffee he'd picked up on the way over here.
Legs tucked underneath him, he was rather oblivious to what was going on around him, or the sunburn he was likely to come home with after this little trip. Such was life.
