Things like this always happen when I have plans. Anyone have a hankering to learn to tap dance?

I'm Beverly Crusher, and once upon a time in the future, I was CMO of an Enterprise, before I became head of Starfleet Medical. I also teach tap dance, if anyone's interested. I've been told that there are other Enterprise-D and E crew members aboard. Can we have a roll call, please?

There is something surreal about being on board a ship you only read about as a child. I suppose this is going to take some getting used.

Hello, everyone. My name is Deanna Troi. I have served as the ship's counselor on another Enterprise, far in the future and I understand I am not the only member of Starfleet who is currently displaced in time. I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

I was thinking the other day about how long I've been a part of Starfleet. Ever since i was a kid and first looked at the stars, I wanted to be up there. I've never regretted the decision but every now and then I find myself wondering what my life would have been like if I'd picked another path. There wasn't a lot of opportunity in Alaska so I doubt I would have stayed there but who knows? The way this whole multiverse thing works mankes me wonder if I'll get the chance to find out one day.

It's been a long time since I didn't fall asleep to the sound of waves. I'm not sure what I'm going to miss more: that or my bike.

I seem to have lost my roommate. The extra space will be nice for however long it might last.

It's good to be back in space again. No matter how much I appreciate shore leave in some ways, I enjoy the stars equally and maybe more.

It's good to be back on the Enterprise even if I did enjoy the shore leave on Earth. Back in my own time, it hadd been a while since I had been there so it was good to see it again and to see what it looked like in what is my past. The most interesting thing was going to Alaska and visiting what will eventually be my birthplace. That was pretty strange. I almost wish I hadn't done it

The hightlight of my Alaskan adventure was seeing a moose. They're nearly extinct in my time and the few there are livin in wildlife reserves. Seeing one standing right in front of me was quite a surprise. Thankfully he was in a good mood and I didn't piss him off.

I am needing more beats and noise... music as you say. Tell me your favorites.

I am quite curious to see Earth, even if we only get to see a small portion of it. As I understand it, the planet has many different ecosystems, whereas most of our planets each had a single ecosystem. The diversity should prove to be very interesting.

Well, there's certainly been an influx of new travelers recently, hasn't there. For those of you I've not yet met, I'm Lucifer Morningstar. And even to those I have met, I'm officially the new manager of the Deck 5 Lounge.

Apparently the powers that be are comfortable entrusting my favorite place on this ship to me.

I suppose I should add if you have any ideas for the lounge, feel free to share them, and if those ideas have any merit, I might implement them.

So, I know a beach wedding isn't super doable on a starship, but what do you guys do for weddings here?

All right, a few housekeeping things. I shouldn't even be taking care of this, but here I am.

I realize that for many of you this is a vacation or something similar, and that's all well and good. But for most of us, we're still working and this ship has still got its mission.

Which means that on the topic of quarters assignments, we're following Starfleet regulation. If you're married or in a committed domestic partnership (whatever it is that your culture calls it; the Federation is, after all, made up of hundreds of planets with varying cultures, races, creeds, religions) that has been legally sanctioned (either here by Starfleet and the Federation or where you came from), then we'll be able to accommodate moving quarters assignments.

But what that means is, we're not just going to start moving people around because you feel like it. Take it from me, living with someone else is hard. Living with someone you're sleeping with? Harder.

I'm sure this means you'll have a lot of questions, so go ahead. I've got the rest of the afternoon off.

I have acquired an office to use for appointments if anyone wants to make an appointment to see me. I understand this is an unusual situation for everyone. While I'm new as well I would like to be able to offer my services to anyone who is in need of them.

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

Tomorrow night, the esteemed Mr. Stark and I will be hosting a night of karaoke in the Deck 5 Lounge. There will be plenty of music, and plenty of alcohol to make up for the music.

I expect everyone to be there, and plenty of you to sign up and sing or else you will be listening to Tony and I sing an inappropriate number of duets all night long and while no one is denying how brilliant that would be, that's not the point of a karaoke night.

For the most part, song selection is limited to 20th century earth because that's when the best music was made.
