Good morning. My name is Commander Troi and I've arrived on the Enterprise after a brief mission aboard the USS Temperance. I'm a senior research scientist and astrophysicist in the sciences division of Starfleet Command. I'm looking forward to my time aboard and getting to know everyone.

Filtered to Travelers Only

I'd like to meet with each of you one on one over the next few weeks and months. For some of you, this might be a one and done, and for others this might be multiple sessions. I'm no counselor so don't think this is going to be any kind of counseling session; these are informational sessions where I will be able to ascertain more information regarding what brought each of you here.

To begin, I'd like you each to tell me what you were doing - exactly - what you were doing in the moments before you were pulled here. Never mind how mundane they might be. From there I will begin scheduling appointments.

OOC Information: Declan is a Betazoid, which means that he's a telepath. He will not be able to read your character's mind via the network, so don't worry about any replies you make that way. If you choose to do a log with him, we can discuss the nuances of his telepathy and see how it plays out. Basically, he will probably be reading your mind if you're face-to-face, but you don't have anything to worry about when talking to him via the network.

Cookie deliveries are still on, but instead of placing orders through Caroline, you'll have to contact me directly. Prices are the same, too.

Also, if someone is looking for some extra credits, I might have an opening for a runner.

I have been encouraged to explore the shops while I am here. Does anyone want to accompany me and act as the voice of restraint I will probably choose to ignore?

I have not seen much of you these past few days. How has Risa been treating you?

Does anyone have some books that are child-friendly? Or that I could fudge a bit to be child-friendly? Hazel is bored.

And speaking of Hazel, would anyone like to babysit her? I need a drink and bringing a kid to the lounge to do that is kind of skeezy. If you're interested, we gotta talk first. I won't let just anyone babysit her.

Preeeeesenting, better late than never the Enterprise's first Murder Mystery Night, as written by yours truly, with consultation from Kate. If you'd like to mentally travel back to the 1940s for a good, old-fashioned dinner party murder mystery, then please join us in the Lounge on Saturday, November 11th at 7:00. There will be light hors d'ourves and of course whatever you want to order from the bar. And someone will die. Not really, just in the play. Hopefully.

Speaking of, I'm looking for some actors for the play. If you've always wanted to try your hand at creating a character then this could be for you. No prior experience needed, just enthusiasm. We'll try to fit in everyone who wants a part, so don't be shy. Plus, you get to wear a costume. I mean, come on.

You can let me know here if you're interested, or plan to show up at an interest meeting in the Lounge tomorrow night at 8:00.

[OOC: Sign ups are here if you're interested in having your character participate. There will be another OOC post soon about roles.]

With global travel plans out the window, there's more time to practice guitar. I might be on my way from terrible to tolerable. He'd probably still make fun of The best thing about this ship is the botanical gardens. I'd take the guitar to the gardens if I didn't think I'd be disturbing everyone, including the plants. Does anyone else here play?

Side note, how much coffee is too much coffee?

It's too early in the morning to be up, and yet, here we are. So if anyone is interested in joining me for breakfast, I have a full breakfast bar set up in the dining area. Make bad choices for your diet alongside me and have your weight in pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, fruits, and coffee, just as life intended for us to feast.

And also to get your brains working before you get here: your favorite song recommendations? I have a lot to catch up on.

I'd like to know what languages everyone speaks, if you don't mind.

Here are the ones I'm fluent in: Basic (which I believe is Federation Standard here), Alderaanian, Corellian, Huttese, can understand Shyriiwook, and various others as well.

ALL Star Wars

I've recently been spending some time in the holodeck, working on a program that's very dear to me. If you have any interest in a short tour of a small area Alderaan, though it's not one hundred percent accurate, please let me know.

Okay, I'm starting to get antsy. I need something to do. I'm not very good at sitting around.

I'm also not very good at morale, science, liaisoning, cooking, or languages. In other words, I was not intended to spend my time on a starship.

But I can write. And dig up stories.

Anyone interested in a ship-wide newspaper, perhaps? I know me and Clark can't be the only reporters stuck here.

It's a different feeling to lose people here than at home, but in some ways, it still feels very similar. I suppose I am used to watching my loved ones meet their ends through more violent and final means when here there is at least a hope we will see them again.

The first friends I made on this ship are gone now and it still feels strange, even weeks or days later, to not see them around the lounge or other parts of the ship. The traditional words of my home world when we lose someone are"May we meet again."Those words hold more hope in the face of a nebula that can pluck our friends from anywhere and anywhen, at least, but that doesn't make it much easier to say goodbye to people you've come to care for.

I guess all we can really do is be grateful for the ones we have left.

It would appear that I should have set aside more of that Klingon blood wine for moments such as these.

This ship just became too quiet.

When I was a kid I used to dream about waking up somewhere that wasn't boring old New Jersey, but I always thought it'd be somewhere like Los Angeles or the French Riviera, and there would be a rich man who'd want to take me shopping and buy me all the shoes I could ever want. Of course, he'd want to marry me and he'd also be a prince and we'd live happily ever after. Instead I wake up on a spaceship that's going around a planet that's nothing but a desert, in the future. This isn't how I wanted to get out of working today, I promise.

I'm also lost. Someone took me to my new apartment -- quarters?-- and I took a walk with my book thing and now I can't find anything. Help?
