Returning home would be pointless. None of what I have learned here would serve me, and I know that my Empire falls and all that I have worked for will be for nothing.

And since I cannot go to who where I wish to go, I shall stay here. There is an empire, across a neutral zone.

I will make it mine.

I have what I hope is good news for those of you don't want to go back.

When the Enterprise gets to the nebula, everyone has to disembark. Yes, everyone. However, if you do not want to return to where you came from, you'll be able to board a ship Starfleet is sending out to meet us, and remain here. If you choose to do that, you need to know that you won't have any other opportunity to return in the future.

Everyone who chooses to remain will be granted full Federation citizenship and will be returned to Earth. There will be some kind of help at the start, money-wise, but it won't be much. Apparently, there's been a foundation set up by some wealthy Federation citizens that will cover some things to begin but then it will be your responsibility to get a job, make your own money, etc.

That's about all I know so far but if you have additional questions, you can let me know and I'll keep pressing.

Does this ship have airlocks? I can even make him walk out of one of his own volition.

I'm not the only one that wants to see him pay for what he did to us, right? I mean I can't be. I know I'm not the only one who felt like they were dying because of what he did so I can't be alone in wanting to hurt him. I'm forever thankful that on the worst day of the year, at least for me, that I have someone in my life who just knows that I need nothing more than for him to sit beside me and just be here. I wish everyone could have that.

That depressing note aside, I've been on this ship for a year. Hard to believe.

Good morning. My name is Commander Troi and I've arrived on the Enterprise after a brief mission aboard the USS Temperance. I'm a senior research scientist and astrophysicist in the sciences division of Starfleet Command. I'm looking forward to my time aboard and getting to know everyone.

I'd like to meet with each of you one on one over the next few weeks and months. For some of you, this might be a one and done, and for others this might be multiple sessions. I'm no counselor so don't think this is going to be any kind of counseling session; these are informational sessions where I will be able to ascertain more information regarding what brought each of you here.

To begin, I'd like you each to tell me what you were doing - exactly - what you were doing in the moments before you were pulled here. Never mind how mundane they might be. From there I will begin scheduling appointments.

OOC Information: Declan is a Betazoid, which means that he's a telepath. He will not be able to read your character's mind via the network, so don't worry about any replies you make that way. If you choose to do a log with him, we can discuss the nuances of his telepathy and see how it plays out. Basically, he will probably be reading your mind if you're face-to-face, but you don't have anything to worry about when talking to him via the network.

Am I to understand many of you celebrate the new year by getting completely plastered?

Someone set up a starfighter simulation in the holodeck. It was quite an enjoyable way to let off steam, and reminded me of some of my own battles against the Republic. Granted, I had a crack ex-pirate pilot for that.

Though, any Sith worth her salt knows how to fly.

So Caitlin left too, now I'm not sure what to do. We were doing research together.

Can I get in on the research for the nebula that brought us here? Who do I talk to about that? I think I could be helpful. Even if it's just going to get coffee.

Has anyone gotten a gift from the nebula?

I got my proper wand back! It came through the nebula! And Crookshanks! I haven't seen him in so long! I thought he was lost to the castle!

Who wants to help me destroy Bellatrix's wand? I never thought to ask for a new one, I thought it'd be too much of a bother.

Is life on this ship always so monotonous? I am used to life having a faster pace than this.

I didn't realize how much I missed my work until I was researching again. I've stayed in the lab late more nights than not. Now that it feels more normal, it's more relaxing than just about anything else.

If anyone has a more normal way to relax, I'm all ears. I probably shouldn't be staying late this much.

Just a question here from someone who can't take being cooped up, how often does this ship tend to dock? I get stir crazy being indoors for too long. And aside from sex, booze and the holodeck, what do people do to keep from climbing the bloody walls here?
