Have I mentioned how fun the Engineering crew is? Because its a lot of fun. Even when I'm elbow deep in a mass of wires and saying a lot of very impolite words.

Got any plans after your shift?

I find this planet very interesting. Although I wish it had some grass. I have been in deserts before, but not quite like this place.

Still, it is good to spend some time away from the ship.

Now that I think I've got a handle on this thing, I'd like to introduce myself. Varric Tethras, Viscount of Kirkwall, award winning author of numerous works and holder of Hawke's leash.

Most of my works came with me, so once I get them transcribed, I want you all to read them and tell me how wonderful an author I am.

As much as I enjoy any excuse to get a concussion (no testimonials, thank you), perhaps a more sedate answer to spend the time might be an old Starfleet Tradition. And as an Old Starfleet, pretty much anything that I used to do regularly qualifies.

'Movie Night'. We used to do it every Monday that the mess hall wasn't filled with debris, but I suppose I can open it up to suggestions.

Also I might be able to arrange people's favourite films, I warn you though, a terrible movie designed to leech about two hours from your life is also traditional, so get your suggestions in before I'm forced to take dramatic action.



P.S. Anyone suggesting movies with explosions in them will be my new best friend.

Feel up to an experiment?

Great. Just what I wanted...to be on a starship again.

It has been brought to my attention that there are now travelers living upon the Enterprise, a redundancy as I was already aware. It was also suggested that I introduce myself, although I was unable to ascertain the purpose that would serve. Nevertheless I am Spock, First Officer and Chief of Sciences.

It has also been made clear that this situation is unlikely to change in the near future and so I would ask that efforts are made to follow protocol aboard this starship on which you now reside.

Captain, I am uncertain if this introductory post contains a warm and welcoming attitude as suggested in our meeting at Headquarters, but I do trust that it is sufficient?

So, this is the future of humanity, huh? It's certainly interesting.

I'm Mon-El by the way. Since you don't seem to have any lack of alien around here. Hiding my name seems ridiculous.

This Earth is very different than the one I know. The technology is definitely far more advanced.

The humans also do not seem to be as frightened of other species now. That is good.

It still feels good to be in a place that's somewhat familiar, even if it isn't the same.

< This will be a confusing stop, I fear. I have been trapped on Earth for some time now. But this appears to be Earth of a future...or perhaps a different reality.

I am glad it does not appear to be a dark reality. >

Food Fight Apology
< I must apologize for my behavior while eating. Normally I love human food far too much to waste it so frivolously. But I got...what is your term...carried away...arguing with someone who did not like it. Why is human food bad in the military as so many say? I have not felt it is, but others say that is true.

< I am happy for the opportunity to get a job aboard this ship, at least if I must remain here a while. I would like to find an opportunity to assist the military if I can. I have not yet completed my military training, but I am an Aristh or warrior-cadet. I was undergoing my training when my ship crashed during the mission I was a part of. It would be best if I had a Prince, or military officer, to serve under. I'll understand if it is not possible, however. >
