Troi's insisting he has nothing to do with any of this - which I don't actually believe, but I want you to understand this, Captain.

Leaving means that I'm letting my unborn child die. And I will not do that without one hell of a fight....well, actually, I won't do that under any circumstance that involves being aware of it. But I'm willing to talk to whomever to make them understand the situation, and be reasonable about this for as long as I can. So, who do I need to speak to?

I can't speak for the rest of you, but I am not leaving without a fight. With that in mind, I've been given a project by Captain Kirk and I need your help.

For those of you who wish to stay, I need you to tell me why. Not only that but what has being brought here meant to you? What would you want to accomplish with your life from this point on? And, additionally, where would you want to go to do these things? Be as passionate and as convincing as possible. The more we can do to explain our reasoning for wishing to stay and to being valuable members of society at this time, the better our chances.

I've been having the worst nightmares for the past two nights.

Good morning. My name is Commander Troi and I've arrived on the Enterprise after a brief mission aboard the USS Temperance. I'm a senior research scientist and astrophysicist in the sciences division of Starfleet Command. I'm looking forward to my time aboard and getting to know everyone.

I'd like to meet with each of you one on one over the next few weeks and months. For some of you, this might be a one and done, and for others this might be multiple sessions. I'm no counselor so don't think this is going to be any kind of counseling session; these are informational sessions where I will be able to ascertain more information regarding what brought each of you here.

To begin, I'd like you each to tell me what you were doing - exactly - what you were doing in the moments before you were pulled here. Never mind how mundane they might be. From there I will begin scheduling appointments.

OOC Information: Declan is a Betazoid, which means that he's a telepath. He will not be able to read your character's mind via the network, so don't worry about any replies you make that way. If you choose to do a log with him, we can discuss the nuances of his telepathy and see how it plays out. Basically, he will probably be reading your mind if you're face-to-face, but you don't have anything to worry about when talking to him via the network.

I knew that I would miss Risa when we left, but being sick over it is a little surprising.

.....that's a joke, just in case anyone interprets that wrong. I am a little sick, but nothing that won't pass in a day or so.

That said, Jadzia suggested that we have a party for Christmas and since I'm not swamped with security duties, I figured I'd volunteer to try and organize something for all of us since I know Peggy is a little busy right now with her duties. So, Enterprise, what should we do for the holiday? All suggestions welcome, provided they don't involve death, destruction, and excessively graphic violence.

And, yes, this includes Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, too. Though I'm pretty sure Hannukkah has already passed or is really close to ending, but no reason we can't include it.

I trust everyone is actually ready to depart this planet.

In advance of our stop at Risa, I've been tasked with putting together our accommodations list.

If you could please let me know which type of accommodation you'd like and if you have a preference as to whom you'd like to stay with. I will do my best to accommodate, but we have a limited bank of rooms so not everyone will be placed where they'd like to be.

Your choices:

2-4 people in a bungalow on the water
4-8 people in an inland treehouse
Up to 12 people in a condominium-style residence in the main resort proper

The variety of humans on this ship provide more exams than the course at the Academy. Some things still do not make sense. Why would you want to pretend murder someone and call it a party?

Weird things about living in the future, Anniversary Edition:

In my timeline, today is our second wedding anniversary. In Castle's, we've been married less than a year. Regardless, 250 years ago, we made it official and I've yet to regret that decision. My parents always told me to marry your best friend, and there's no one in the universe - past, present or future, who gets me, loves me and accepts me for who I am than Rick Castle.

All in all, I'm pretty happy that I suspected you of murder all those years ago, Castle. And that you kept showing up, no matter what.

Preeeeesenting, better late than never the Enterprise's first Murder Mystery Night, as written by yours truly, with consultation from Kate. If you'd like to mentally travel back to the 1940s for a good, old-fashioned dinner party murder mystery, then please join us in the Lounge on Saturday, November 11th at 7:00. There will be light hors d'ourves and of course whatever you want to order from the bar. And someone will die. Not really, just in the play. Hopefully.

Speaking of, I'm looking for some actors for the play. If you've always wanted to try your hand at creating a character then this could be for you. No prior experience needed, just enthusiasm. We'll try to fit in everyone who wants a part, so don't be shy. Plus, you get to wear a costume. I mean, come on.

Do I need to come find you?

I was told to introduce myself to the ship at wide using this device. So Hello, you may call me Chief. It's technically a nickname, as my true name is actually Napi. I'm a big fan of tricks and stories, being the Blackfoot trickster and storytelling demigod. I am a member of the Blackfoot Native American tribal Nation. I appear about 39 years old, though I am much older than that. I am originally from the traditional Blackfoot lands along the Alberta/Montana border but recently I had been moving around as I felt it necessary before I was brought here. Recently, in this case, essentially meaning since the second World War ended.

I do not have any family on this ship to be notified about or who will be notified about my arrival, but if you wish to become a friend, I would welcome new friends. Friendship is always good.

I think I'm in love.

Once, a girl far younger and smarter than I told me her life's motto. She was all of 15 at the time, brimming with that self-confidence and excitement that I think is innate to every teenager. You're invincible at that age, ready to conquer the world and vanquish the demons. To be the hero and all of that.

When she said it ("Do the thing that you fear the most."), sitting in a coffee shop sipping an espresso and nibbling on a cookie, I thought it was a sweet sentiment. It was the sort of thing that I would have also said at that age, but that the experience of life and all of the pain that comes with it eventually knocked out of me. That girl eventually became my step-daughter, though it's not quite a mother/daughter relationship between the two of us, and several years into her 20s, she's still living that motto. Fear never stopped her from doing anything.

Alexis has been on my mind for a few different reasons as of late. I find myself wondering what she's doing at home, if she got into that summer internship program she was gunning for, or if she's finally asked out the lab partner that she had been flirting with for most of her spring semester. Is she happy? Is she still barrelling through life with her father's charm and her grandmother's spirit? We've got no way to know here and it makes me sad.

Hello, everyone! For those I haven't met yet, I'm Katie Bell. If you've looked at Dr. McCoy's announcement, you know I've just been appointed the lead morale officer, which means it's my job to help keep you lot entertained.

To kill some time today before work, I finally tried one of the holonovels that are based on the old PI novels of the 1940s. It wasn't bad - maybe a little cliché in places - but it has the after effect that now I keep expecting people to pop around corners in fedoras and evening gowns while they smoke a cigarette and proclaim their innocence.

I also now have a fierce bout of homesickness for Manhattan, but I expected that would happen before I ever started the program.

I know he's been my roommate for a while now and all, but I've been distracted and a bit too uncertain to ask. But the dreadfully nerdy bloke named Clark Kent is Superman, right? Like the Superman?

Someone really needs to tell me how to make an espresso happen.
