I lose one roommate and gain two more. Seems like a fair trade.

Wow. Wow. I still feel like this has to be a really freaky dream, but okay, here goes.

My name is Rose Hathaway and I have already learned a few awesome things about space:

~ the drinking age is apparently 18
~ the view is amazing
~ I'm claustrophobic now. Neat.
~ Technology has really come a long way from 2010
~ Being kidnapped by a nebula or whatever is actually fun, who knew.

Is this where I say I like vodka and long walks on the beach? I'm a lot better at this in person.

I would appreciate it if everyone would keep their tribbles far away from me. We do not get along.

Tomorrow's my birthday, apparently.

Who's buying me a drink at the lounge tomorrow?

So, Kate and I went to see Jurassic Park today at the movie theater and it was... real.

Like, really real.

Like we were in a jungle and dinosaurs were running past us.

It was terrifying for about five minutes and then it was awesome!

I'm not one for writing. I was raised a farmer, turned into a fighter, and then a mentor. It wasn't an important part of any of that.

I'm also very dependent on the Force to understand people anymore. The written word takes that away.

Or maybe this mood I'm feeling is just that being stationed at this starbase has made me realize I've been a hermit for a very long time and don't know how to interact with people anymore.

Well this is not what I was expecting to happen at all.

Please somebody tell me I get to fly something while I'm here or I'm going to go crazy.

Hello, I'm Aloy. One of the new people here. Which is... very far away from where I was. I read files about space ships. Never expected to be on one.

Holy crap this is not cool.

I need to be on the ground and outside right now. Everything smells weird and metallic and the ship is humming so freaking loud.
