Private to Jim Kirk and Richard Castle

Troi's insisting he has nothing to do with any of this - which I don't actually believe, but I want you to understand this, Captain.

Leaving means that I'm letting my unborn child die. And I will not do that without one hell of a fight....well, actually, I won't do that under any circumstance that involves being aware of it. But I'm willing to talk to whomever to make them understand the situation, and be reasonable about this for as long as I can. So, who do I need to speak to?

I can't speak for the rest of you, but I am not leaving without a fight. With that in mind, I've been given a project by Captain Kirk and I need your help.

For those of you who wish to stay, I need you to tell me why. Not only that but what has being brought here meant to you? What would you want to accomplish with your life from this point on? And, additionally, where would you want to go to do these things? Be as passionate and as convincing as possible. The more we can do to explain our reasoning for wishing to stay and to being valuable members of society at this time, the better our chances.

You know, deep down, I never thought they would actually find a way for us to go home. I'm... stunned.

By now you've all seen Admiral Rainer's announcement. At the moment, we have no more information than what you have received. Should we find out more, we will share it with you.

I do not intend to let Commander Troi get away with what he did. He should not be allowed to be so careless in his experiments that the well being of several individuals are affected. In order to lend wait to the case and accusations I intend to present to Starfleet HQ, I would appreciate it if anyone who has experienced symptoms provide a description of what occurred to Dr. Cho or Dr. McCoy. I will be calling for disciplinary action against Commander Troi.


In addition, I'm exploring options for those who wish to remain in this time. I make no promises, but I will do everything in my power to make sure you have a choice as to your future.

I do not intend to go quietly into that good night. (Or nebula, as the case may be). I am working on preparing a case against Troi for Starfleet HQ even if it comes to nothing.

It has been a privilege and an honor to be on the Enterprise again. I remember her maiden voyage that many of you were a part of and I could not be prouder of the crew you have become. You are Starfleet's best and brightest.

I am exploring options how to stay in this universe because death is not all it's cracked up to be. If any of you wish to aid in this endeavor - which is in violation of the Admiral's orders - I would appreciate it.

Starfleet's sending us a new science officer. He's part of the team that's been working on the travelers and this whole nebula thing. I hope you'll join me in making him feel welcome. He'll come aboard when we meet up with the USS Temperance tomorrow.

I've taken Pike off active duty, and make sure he stays that way next week, will you? I told him he could keep desk duty. Since I know you tend to let him take personnel off your plate, make sure he doesn't sneak himself back on.

Who do I have to bribe to keep my room assignment as is. More specifically, to have my quarters to myself?

You'll be happy to know that we replenished the lounge's drink options while visiting Risa. If you don't know what something is, try it.

After surfing, kayaking, going to the spa, eating way too much food, dancing at a nightclub and lying on the beach for hours on end, I think I'm finally relaxed enough to tackle Galartha. Would anyone like to join me?

Today I start my 4-day shift on the ship. And Jim's not here to tell me not to sit in his chair. So I'm in his chair. And I like it.

Actually, I think technically I'm the senior-most officer on board and I belong in said chair.

Please, no one contract any diseases from your pleasure seeking over the next four days. Because I won't be there.

I've got an announcement for crew and travelers alike. Starfleet has approved a shore leave request so the Enterprise is making its way to a planet called Risa. Check it out on your PADD. Its nickname is the pleasure planet so everyone will have something to do. ETA is about a week and a half. Any questions? Ask away.

Hey Hot Stuff...

Any word on when some shore leave might be happening?

I have noticed a Lt. Riley in one of the Rec Rooms, singing every Thursday morning.

While he is not very good and sings the same song every time, he does remind me of an old friend with a lovely voice. We were at war, and his song was a respite in the darkness.

Ah, October. The month where my husband spends his free time trying to scare me with bits of fake blood and various masks and it all culminates in a costume party that really is rather spectacular.

Is Halloween even a thing in the 23rd Century? I doubt it'd be the American version that I know involving kids, candy, and dressing up given the lack of kids on the ship.

I did have an idea for an event you could all hold, though not necessarily for Halloween. A murder mystery party. Castle's quite good at killing people on paper.

A few people have asked about the little ball of fur that sits on my desk in the traveler's liaison office and purrs. It's called a tribble, and they are a real creature in this universe, though the one I have is not real. We had some on board a few months ago and they multiply very quickly, so they're not feasible to have as pets. Howard made this one for me, which is, for lack of a better term, robotic. No need to worry about alarming reproduction rates. It's so darling and it probably needs a name. Suggestions?

As we develop expanded educational and training opportunities, it would be useful to know areas of interest or critical mass. Topics such as acclimating to life on a starship, current technology, and federation history and customs will be covered.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but there is a part of me that wants to institute Academy cadet training if I hear one more complaint about boredom.
