It's weird, not solving cases with you. I've kind of gotten used to having you around.

[PUBLIC]

You know, if my daughter were here I think I might be perfectly content in this place.

Working security is going to be a lot different than being a homicide detective. A lot more boring, I think.

Of course, it's good that there aren't as many murderers or serious crime here as there is in LA.

All in all, though, this place doesn't seem that bad. And Hot Tub High School doesn't seem to exist here. At all. Which is so incredibly awesome that I can get used to a little boredom.

Does anyone else have children back at home that they miss?

My son George is three. I miss him terribly. Some days it strikes me more than others. At least I know that he is being taken care of by my parents.

So I've started my security training. It feels good to be doing something again instead of just sitting around freaking out about being in space.

Who else works security?

[Ginny]

I keep missing you in the room, but hey. I'm Chloe. Your roommate.

Religion is one of those strange things that seems to be constant over the centuries - both on Earth that Was and in my universe on various other planets. Despite the advent of technology, people often seem to yearn for community and have questions about existance (though sometimes this is explained away by magic or philosophy). However, I am not familiar with what exists in this world.

All of this is to say, would there be any interest in having religious services on board? I'm not the type to force religion on anyone, but sometimes it can be useful.

So I was forced to read Paradise Lost in high school.

I might have paid more attention if I'd known the main character was going to be one of my best friends.

So, hello, Enterprise...

My name's Chloe Decker and I'm a homicide detective with the LAPD. Or that's what I was back home. Not sure it matters here. Feel free to call me Chloe, Decker, or Detective.

I'm going to try to get on with the security team here because I'm not the kind of person who likes to sit around and do nothing, but I don't have any training with lasers or phasers or whatever they have here, so I'm not sure how my skills will translate.

Anyway, still trying to get used to this place, but just thought I should introduce myself.

So, hi.
