Ship's Log | To Boldly Go

For those of us staying, we should keep in contact. For reunions ;)

So my last action for being on the ship's morale team is to throw a party for everyone this Saturday in the lounge. Everyone's invited (except you, Troi, 'cause let's face it - you're an asshole and no one likes you and I ain't afraid to say that to you). We can make it a Bon Voyage party since we're all pretty much going whichever way we choose.

I know for some of you the choice is complicated. For me it is simple, I only wish I'd be able to remember my experiences here. The hope in this future. Something to strive towards when I return.

It seems a shame to lose the lessons learned here.

Travelers ONLY

I have what I hope is good news for those of you don't want to go back.

When the Enterprise gets to the nebula, everyone has to disembark. Yes, everyone. However, if you do not want to return to where you came from, you'll be able to board a ship Starfleet is sending out to meet us, and remain here. If you choose to do that, you need to know that you won't have any other opportunity to return in the future.

Everyone who chooses to remain will be granted full Federation citizenship and will be returned to Earth. There will be some kind of help at the start, money-wise, but it won't be much. Apparently, there's been a foundation set up by some wealthy Federation citizens that will cover some things to begin but then it will be your responsibility to get a job, make your own money, etc.

That's about all I know so far but if you have additional questions, you can let me know and I'll keep pressing.

I'm not about to write a bloody proposal about why I should be allowed to stay rather than be forced to return home again, again. If I end up back in Los Angeles, so be it. I'd rather stay on Risa with the preacher if he so chooses so he can at least enjoy some paradise before he ends up in hell, but at least he seems alright with that fate.

Sending people straight to their deaths, though? That's nothing other than pure evil. I don't know how anyone in Starfleet wants to accomplish missions of diplomacy and exploration without recognizing the value of life and of giving people freedom to choose that life for themselves.

Troi's insisting he has nothing to do with any of this - which I don't actually believe, but I want you to understand this, Captain.

Leaving means that I'm letting my unborn child die. And I will not do that without one hell of a fight....well, actually, I won't do that under any circumstance that involves being aware of it. But I'm willing to talk to whomever to make them understand the situation, and be reasonable about this for as long as I can. So, who do I need to speak to?

Private to all Travelers
I can't speak for the rest of you, but I am not leaving without a fight. With that in mind, I've been given a project by Captain Kirk and I need your help.

For those of you who wish to stay, I need you to tell me why. Not only that but what has being brought here meant to you? What would you want to accomplish with your life from this point on? And, additionally, where would you want to go to do these things? Be as passionate and as convincing as possible. The more we can do to explain our reasoning for wishing to stay and to being valuable members of society at this time, the better our chances.

A few answers to some questions as we prepare for the travelers to transfer back to their homes -

When will I be returned to in my life?
To the moment you were in before you were pulled here. It will be as though no time has passed.

Will I remember what happened here?
No, you will be returned to the point you left with no memory of your time here.

Will I ever have a chance to come back?
No, we will be closing access to this nebula. It won't happen again.

How do you know this won't happen again?
Because we were able to find the cause and adjust accordingly.

Will it hurt?
You may feel disoriented but it will pass. There will be no pain.

Howard and I are pleased to announce that we are getting married tomorrow at 14:00 in the observation deck. It will be a brief ceremony followed by drinks in the Lounge. Anyone is welcome to come.

So a lot of people are talking about staying if they can but what about if we want to leave. I mean, there's a lot of questions I have about that too. Like will we remember being here? Or will we go back to right where we came from? Or can we pick when we go to? Or what about if I'm from one time and Ginny's from a different one, are we both going to remember and then how does that work?

You know, deep down, I never thought they would actually find a way for us to go home. I'm... stunned.

It appears that we have some things that we need to discuss, darling.

By now you've all seen Admiral Rainer's announcement. At the moment, we have no more information than what you have received. Should we find out more, we will share it with you.

I do not intend to let Commander Troi get away with what he did. He should not be allowed to be so careless in his experiments that the well being of several individuals are affected. In order to lend wait to the case and accusations I intend to present to Starfleet HQ, I would appreciate it if anyone who has experienced symptoms provide a description of what occurred to Dr. Cho or Dr. McCoy. I will be calling for disciplinary action against Commander Troi.


In addition, I'm exploring options for those who wish to remain in this time. I make no promises, but I will do everything in my power to make sure you have a choice as to your future.

I do not intend to go quietly into that good night. (Or nebula, as the case may be). I am working on preparing a case against Troi for Starfleet HQ even if it comes to nothing.

It has been a privilege and an honor to be on the Enterprise again. I remember her maiden voyage that many of you were a part of and I could not be prouder of the crew you have become. You are Starfleet's best and brightest.

I am exploring options how to stay in this universe because death is not all it's cracked up to be. If any of you wish to aid in this endeavor - which is in violation of the Admiral's orders - I would appreciate it.

Well, I suppose we knew this day was coming.

In light of the information that our time together is growing to a close, I was wondering if some of us might be interested in a service to mark the end of our time together. We have endured much together and it might be a chance for us to have some closure and say our farewells.

Message to Enterprise Senior Staff

Thank you for your time and devotion to the travelers that have spent the last year aboard the Enterprise. We here at Starfleet Command, in association with the United Federation of Planets, appreciate all of the work you've done to keep them safe and allow them safe boarding and passage as they navigate this century and space.

Your orders have been transmitted, and the Enterprise should arrive at the nebula at 1400 on stardate 226502.18. There you will rendezvous with the USS Temperance. All arrangements for the transport of the travelers back to where they came from has been arranged.

I'm not the only one that wants to see him pay for what he did to us, right? I mean I can't be. I know I'm not the only one who felt like they were dying because of what he did so I can't be alone in wanting to hurt him. I won't though, well I don't think I will but if I run into his smug face I can't make any promises.

three days and i still cant sleep or think straight. who the hell is doing this?

I've done a lot of difficult things in my life, but I have to tell you, nothing I've done before has kicked my butt like pregnancy is.

I don't know if it's just the headaches that have made it so much worse, but even after mine went away I've just been wiped out. I haven't done much of anything but sleep since Tuesday and I'm still exhausted. Even my appetite is gone and I was pretty much eating everything in sight before this week.

I hope the rest of you are doing better.
