Ship's Log | To Boldly Go

I'm not certain what it says about myself that I hear the words 'there will be a briefing', and I feel a tinge of excitement. I suppose that I like to be informed, is at least one thing.

There seem to be a few more of us here, and I was thinking that the possibility of a social event every week in my quarters might not be amiss. It could be anything, simple things like tea, or a reading or performance, some sort of game.

Thoughts?

I have to commend the culinary staff aboard this ship. I'm been on a handful of spaceships in my day and at times there was nothing but unmarked tins to eat. Here, however, it seems like quite the feast.

SHIP-WIDE COMMUNICATION

The Enterprise is currently en route to the planet Fornax. The ship will be in orbit of Fornax for a total of 10 days while the Enterprise brokers a Federation Trade Treaty with the Fornax High Council. Estimated arrival date and time is 226408.05 at 12:00.

All travelers are requested to attend a briefing regarding Fornax and this shore leave this evening at 19:00 in the Deck Five Lounge.

I know this is probably a bit weird seeing as how we've never really spoken but am I right in thinking you're the one who has been mostly responsible for designing the environments on the holodeck? I only ask because one of the recent arrivals is actually a rabbit normally and I think he's a little bit overwhelmed by being here so I thought it would be nice to design something for him. I am familiar with where he's from so I'd like to maybe help you come up with something close to what his home looks like.

A lot of new faces again. Good thing this ship has plenty of room but I do wonder what they'll do with us all when all the quarters fill up.
