So, hello, Enterprise...

My name's Chloe Decker and I'm a homicide detective with the LAPD. Or that's what I was back home. Not sure it matters here. Feel free to call me Chloe, Decker, or Detective.

I'm going to try to get on with the security team here because I'm not the kind of person who likes to sit around and do nothing, but I don't have any training with lasers or phasers or whatever they have here, so I'm not sure how my skills will translate.

Anyway, still trying to get used to this place, but just thought I should introduce myself.

It looks like yesterday must have been quite the eventful day for you. Just checking in to make sure you're alright.

I'm well aware you've felt the need to stretch your wings a little and we've been avoiding the subject, but I do still care about you.

I have to say. I do look good in this uniform.

And, I don't know about any of the other newer members of the crew. But, I would just lik to thank the Command for giving us this chance. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I hadn't had some work to do.
