Forgive me for my indecisiveness on this, but if you think it is at all still possible, I think that I should like to see about working in diplomacy for the ship. I will understand if that window of opportunity has closed though. If you are able to make inquiries, I will consult with the Captain and make sure that he is comfortable with the idea.

Would you be at all opposed to me working in an area of diplomacy on the ship if Admiral Pike is able to secure me such a position? I suppose that you would have to agree to it anyway, being that you are the Captain. What I mean to ask is that would you find it awkward to be potentially working with me in a close way?

How do you feel about drinks? And by drinks I mean I need to not think and want you to get me to my room in one piece without asking any questions?
