My son is here now. My older boy. But he's so much older now. He was a young teenager before I was brought here, and now he's over 20. He's a full Jedi Knight.

I can tell he's been through things...I can see it in his face and his eyes. Part of me wonders what happened back home, but part doesn't really want to know.

I'm not sure how I feel about getting to leave the ship. I found pictures of the space station they say we're going on 'shore leave' to, but... it looks huge. And crowded. Which reminds me of home, but not in any of the good ways.

But I have a question? I hear there are markets on this station, but... how do we buy things? I don't have any Lien from my time on Remnant, and I'm not sure anyone here would take it anyway.

So, I'm curious, what does a girl have to do to use one of those holodecks?

Saturday night on the holodeck. Laser tag.

It's technically for Castle's birthday, but also just because it's fun. Don't worry if you've never heard of it, or don't know how to play. It's easy to learn and a lot of fun. Just show up, play a game or two, then go drink at the bar. Or go drink and then show up. Whichever. The only rules is that you don't tell Castle this is happening.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm really relieved to be getting off the ship for a few days. You'd think for someone who spends most of her time in a large lab that I wouldn't mind this kind of environment, but the lack of outside to go into has messed with more than I expected.

Maybe I just need to be practicing medicine again. That might help.

So I hear through the grapevine that you have some experience with, uh, the cold?

I'm hopeful that Yorktown will have a wider range of power equipment, something I can easily plug into. And, sounds like there's a sun nearby and I'll have lots of solar power. I'm expecting a good weekend.
