BIRTHDAYS: None.

WEATHER: It’s still so hot outside that anyone that’s not a fire elemental or a vampire probably wants to die a little. But guess what? Now it’s pouring rain on top of that! Hello brick wall of humidity, so nice to see you again.

EVENTS: Everyone who had a racial switcheroo thanks to the raving elderly fae of dubious humor and fashion sense… yeah, you’re still fucked.

Okay, seriously. Once again, everyone would have dreamed of the person they were paired with. This dream would have been longer, and more vivid. No one’s going to get anything so helpful as a person’s name, phone number, or street address, but details of the dreams are once again up to players. They will all be plagued with the feeling that they need to find that person.

Oh, and just so everyone knows… you switcherooed elementals? Your natural elements are starting to get angry - regardless of what level you are. Every elemental that had their element switched is required to have at least one event of their former element acting out violently or jealously. Considering the weather, any former water or air elementals might want to stay inside. That’s going to make finding the dream person slightly problematic…

There is one interesting thing the rest of the public could note about this. The park where the spell originated? You know, the one that had the saturation levels amped? Is having a major landscape switch. Wild flowers are growing everywhere, and their colors are not natural. If you ever wanted a rainbow-colored flower, or perhaps one with zebra stripes or neon polka dots… now’s the time. It’s like Dr. Seuss exploded down there.

In other news… homecoming details! At SOHS there will be a mandatory pep rally for all students at 1 PM, and at the end of the pep rally nominations for the court, king, and queen are announced. For those unfamiliar, the nominations for king and queen are made up of seniors, while underclassmen are eligible for court. Traditionally, nominees are selected for services to the school and fellow students, but it’s often more of a popularity contest than anything else. There’s certainly some interesting additions in there, though.

The court nominations are: Isolde Landers, Penny Chess, Bunny Digby, Darklis Tinka, Max Normandin, and several NPC characters (including Russell Normandin, Valterri Niemi, and Jenna Whitmore ).

Nominations for homecoming king: Locke Hartley, Rico Palminteri, Micah Adams, and at least one yet-unnamed NPC (who someone is more than welcome to app as a character).

Nominations for homecoming queen: Angeline Moriarty, Lotti Summers, Lily Flores, and Charlotte Angel.

Voting for court, king, and queen open immediately after the pep rally. Voting boxes are located all over the school. Tickets are now on sale to the homecoming dance, with is set to be held on Saturday, September 26th. In the teacher’s lounge are sign-up sheets for chaperones, and a warning is posted that teachers can and will be drafted involuntarily if they don’t have enough volunteers. The PTA will also be sending out sign-up sheets to any involved parents and guardians.

On a modly note, we’d like to inform all players in advance that there will be a major event and unfolding plot that starts at the homecoming dance itself. It will affect everyone at the dance – chaperone or student. As such, if anyone’s had an idea for a student, teacher, or parent – now is the time to bring them in! We especially need more male students, and we’re happy to allow a few of them to be the un-named NPCs nominated to the court. Thank you!
