TIME UPDATE

BIRTHDAYS: None.
WEATHER: Well, it’s the damnedest thing. All weather reports have seemed pretty sure all week that we were in for nothing but sunshine and heat. But. It’s storming in Scarlet Oak. Only in Scarlet Oak. Almost as soon as you leave the city limit the skies open up. Local meteorologists are stumped, and local stations weather reports are joking about the possibility of angry air elementals.
EVENTS: Legionary demons have slowed down on the bomb site… but can be found further down river. They seem to have realized they have easier meals elsewhere, where in some cases, bodies have washed ashore.
Some Scarlet Oak students and businesses are expressing outrage today, as plans for the annual homecoming parade have been halted – at least for now. For SOHS, homecoming week is usually the last week of September, and quite the huge affair. It starts off with spirit week at SOHS, crowning of the homecoming court, and on homecoming day there’s a parade through town with floats made by all schools, classes, clubs, and even many local businesses. At the end of the day is the big football game, and finally the homecoming dance. Given recent events, city officials are worried that the parade would just be insensitive at best, and asking for trouble at worst. Even if the parade is canceled there would still be many other activities, but the parade is tradition – and many classes have already started work on their displays. An official decision is expected within the next few days.
