chillin' out max and relaxin' all cool

Who: Telyn and OPEN
When: Mid-morning
Where: Starbucks
What: Feeding the addiction

Her time since coming back to Scarlet Oak had been beyond busy. It still was weird to think of Emogen as her mother, the woman who had always been the cool aunt. Her recovery was going well, and the elemental was grateful for that. Of course, her encountering a demon herself wasn't fun but she had Adam, which more than made up for it. There weren't words for how grateful she was that he had allowed her back into his life and that more than that, they were dating again. She knew it wasn't easy but he was definitely worth it.

The thing that she was still wrapping her head around was that she was half-angel. Her grandfather, and the grandmother she had yet to meet, were angels. Her father had been an angel. Telyn didn't think that angels could die so that kind of threw her for a loop. So much happened so fast that it was nice to just grab a cup of coffee and just mull it all over.

Not that she needed anyone's encouragement or a reason to get coffee. The girls at Starbucks knew her and her order well. It wasn't hard, given that she was there so frequently. Soon, armed with an iced vanilla Americano, she was sitting, feet tucked up under her in one of the comfy chairs, glancing out the window as she finally let everything ruminate and stew in her brain. Every so often it was like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire theme song was playing in her head because her life got literally flipped up side down. She didn't realize she was softly humming it under her breath as she continued to think it all over, Lucky at her feet, choosing to ignore the random song choice for the moment.
